This is very common in the NFL. I don't see it as a big deal. Besides, corporate sponsors fill most the luxury boxes and such, too. That's how I usually get to go to games at other stadiums, especially Carolina Panther games in Charlotte, NC. It's just the way it is. Besides, who can blame people for not wanting to sit through that kind of weather? It's fine for those that want to, but I can't blame anyone for choosing not to. Especially considering the money many will save.
EDIT: One thing that I find increases my game-day experience a little is to have the radio broadcast in one ear throughout the game. It allows me to keep track of details that most would miss otherwise, but still be active and in the moment at the game. Ear-buds work perfect. I would recommend it if anyone hasn't tried it before.
Edit again: Yeah, one has to be extreme to go to this game! heh heh.
