They also don't have swagger because right when they sit down to take a break our offense goes three and out and they have to get right back on the field again.

sorry this is not correct. The offense is out there 31:17 per game and the defense 30:05. (Overtime makes it more than 60 min.) The defense rotates players on the line, the linebackers and the secondary all the time. Nearly every play. The offense not so much. Backs and a few of the receivers rotate.

The defense has to makes tops and get off the field more often than what they do.

If that were true, the Packers would be 5 - 7, but instead they are 5 - 6 - 1.

I'd like to see the defense operated by Winston Moss. I'd like to see why he's held in such high value to be called assistant head coach.

I would be happy to have anybody take over, whether that be Moss or Greene. This has turned into a shit show on D for the Packers.

This I have to agree with and is why I want Kevin Greene to be bumped up to Assistant DC and/or a defensive coordinator that doesn't just sit there like a corpse in the booth. These guys play with no passion or attitude in this defense because they never get their asses chewed out for missing tackles and blowing assignments. I can't remember a defense that was great or even real good that didn't walk with a certain cockiness/swagger and an attitude of "don't fuck with us!" I guess that was the biggest thing we lost when we let Woodson go.

I can see the DC sitting upstairs. He can see what is happening better than at field level. But making Kevin the assistant DC means he could stay on the sidelines and get in the faces of the players. Not just when they do something wrong. Remember the SB? During the timeout between the 3rd-4th Q he got into CM3's face and told him that it was his time. He needed to make a play. Clay did. GB won.

My take going forward is this :

First and foremost the Packers as an organization need to acknowledge we have some issues and not blow it off as a fluke.

Second the talent after the top 23 isn't going to cut it. Ted Thompson must trade up 2-3 times and add play makers and at least 1 impact OT.

MM must reexamine his Defensive Scheme and OL system and decide if it's time to change. Both have gone stale and could use a fresh perspective.

That's my [twocents]

The players never seem to know what the coverage is, they run the same blitzes every game, the other team seems to easily be able to set up ridiculous match ups in coverage, the middle of the secondary and the flats is always wide open. I cant remember too many games where we out coached the other team on defense.

This scheme never wins games for us. The only year it was good is when we had all pro players on every level and the dpoy. That should not be a requirement for your d to be decent.

Yes, and of course any defense needs playmakers and we are now seeing proof that we don't really have any outside of clay matthews.

That being said:

OPP PASSING YDS
250.5 23rd

OPP RUSHING YDS
125.9 27th

Not going to get it done. And I cannot imagine this not getting dealt with before or during the off-season.
