You don't "finish off a block" pass blocking you hold your spot and provide a clean pocket. If a guy lets off on his bull rush you let him. Rodgers ran out of that pocket too close to the Bears player and wasn't fast enough to get away from him. Barclay's job wasn't to drive the defender backwards it was to keep him from collapsing the pocket.

Barclay's only option at the time, after he finished his assignment was to grab ahold of the defender and hold.
Barclay had done his job forcing the man back beyond Aaron, his back was turned to Aaron when he broke the pocket and started to scramble, the defender who was facing Aaron saw this and did his job by changing directions and pursuing. Barclay's momentum had him going the other way, his only option would have been to grab the guy and hold, but considering the fact that Aaron has been real successful in scrambling he let the guy go.
Bad break, when he made the tackle, but of course some will blame Barclay for this play 5 years from now, only remembering this one play and use it as a standard when talking about Barclay.
I'm sure if Barclay could have known in advance the results of the play, that he would have held his man and taken the 10yd penalty. But unlike some on here he doesn't know what is going to happen until it actually plays out.
