Packers coach Mike McCarthy says that with Aaron Rodgers suffering a broken collarbone on Monday night, his team can rally around backup quarterback Seneca Wallace. "He's played in a lot of games, been in the league a long time, I look for him to improve with a week of preparation,' McCarthy said. "I have all...

Depressing to read that. It decreases my confidence in McCarthy.

Wallace is not a wash out. I am disappointed in his play in relief but let's be realistic, the guy wasn't getting any reps. Gruden put it best: This offense game plan each week is hard enough to teach one guy, let alone two. Let's see what he does with a week of practice before we give up on the guy completely.

"I have all the confidence in the world in Seneca'

Harrell Coleman Young and now a 5'11 Seneca

Seriously we got to put up with wallace for 6 weeks?

I dont know about you guys but I have been watching the Texans the past few games and watched how the all Great Schaub pulled a Cutler for 5 games ...
So I watched the colts/houston game - and watched their 3rd string walk on QB; absolutley lite it up. Reminded me of Rodgers 4 years ago; when he still could move quickly and dove for 1st downs but also threw bullets and long passes that connected.
Geez - wtf is our back up that cant even throw a decent pass; oh he can but too peppers. Come on Mike McCarthy wth.

Passing CP/AT YDS TD INT
C. Keenum 20/34 350 3 0
S. Wallace 11/19 114 0 1

The only thing I know is if my name was Matt Schaub I'd be sweating bullets. Heck, Chicagos backup made ours look like a preschooler. Ok fine he can hand the ball off to our buiser RB ... but thats it.

The real problem is you can not have one backup in OTAs, drop him and pick up another in TC. Cut him and pick up still another once the season has begun and expect the QB to do anything. Right or wrong stick him one guy and team him the system.

You'd think a professional football coach would a) get a guy some reps in practice, considering he had no preseason and your line continues to give up sacks and b) recognize that you beat an 8 man front by throwing, more than just 6 yard routes on 3rd and 8.

Wayne said it best....what do they expect Mike McCarthy and the Packer players to say? "We're SCREWED!"???
They have to rally with they guy, cause he's all we have.

Hopefully he can do the job, or the season will be over before Aaron Rodgers can get back under center.
