Flynn. Of course. The guy played lights-out with us before. He can do it again if need be. We have to have somebody backing up Wallace.
As for Favre, I could maybe see it on some levels. It would be one hell of a story. Bringing him back into the fold of Packers Nation would be a riot. I don't know how good he would be, but I'm sure he could still make some throws.
From a purist standpoint, who can run McCarthy's system better? Flynn or Favre? I would say Flynn. Plug him in and we could be off to the races, if he could shake off all of the funk from his FA experiences. It was just two years ago that he set all-time Packers records. I think Flynn would be the guy who would get the job done. I question whether Favre would get the job done, but it might be way more fun to watch him try.
This is a great topic.
Personally, I would love to see Favre have a successful return with the Packers, which would mean him leading us into the playoffs, and that's pure nostalgia ringing there... It would be remarkable. It is possible Rodgers has a busted clavicle. That would take a solid 8 weeks to heal, but possibly less. Maybe we get Rodgers back for the playoffs in this scenario, if we can still make it there. I do think either of Favre or Flynn could be the guide.
