Based on a statistic some coaches think is as important as any in football, the Packers have not only remained dangerous throwing the ball through the injuries, they could be in store for some very big things when Jones and Cobb return.

Heading into this weekend, the Packers rank first in the NFL in yards per pass attempt (YPA), a fairly remarkable standing given they have played nearly three games without Jones, two-plus without Cobb and nearly two without TE Jermichael Finley.

The Packers are averaging 8.8 yards per pass attempt, which is nearing the 9.3 they averaged in 2011 when they led the NFL. They also led the league in scoring and finished the regular season 15-1 that season.

During their Super Bowl season in 2010, they averaged 8.0 in YPA, which ranked third in the NFL, and 10th in scoring,

And that's actually down from where they were with all the starters.

Deep? Sure why not. I guess I would characterize it differently. The guys we have out there for the most part are executing. Now if Jordy went down too... then we may be in some trouble. So deep? Not so sure. But it was deep before the Cobb and Jones injuries and has allowed us to continue being effective.

Maybe a little bit of double meaning to deep hahahaha. We are deep enough to survive the injuries, but we also are probably the best in the league at going deep.

One thing about another injury-cursed season, unlike 2010 etc., this season it seems like we aren't the only ones, maybe not even the hardest hit team.

Heads, hamstrings, and now hearts - coaches dropping like flies. Keep taking those blood pressure meds, MM.

Hey, it didn't change to Mike McCarthy when I typed MM.
