Does a team have to designate the player when they put him on Ir, or can they wait until after say tomorrow and then designate one of the players they have put on IR as the guy?
I'm not sure how the rule works.
EDIT: Just found this in the latest Cheesehead tv article
On Tuesday Sept. 3, teams are allowed to place one player on injured reserve as designated to return, after which they cannot practice for six weeks and cannot play for eight weeks
So The Packers don't have that option for Harris since he was placed on IR to get to 75.
Or am I reading this wrong?
Thankfully The Packers did not hav any serious injuries last night, which means they can't use that option?
I'm still confused.
Article went on to talk About Burnette and Hayward being eligible if their injuries are more serious than have been reported.
So it looks like Harris is not eligible.
Man, gotta love that newsfeed!!!!! =d>
