Datone Jones injury doesn't appear to be too serious

Green Bay - There's no word yet on how long rookie DE Datone Jones will be sidelined, but early indications are that his sprained left ankle wasn't severe.

Once those tendons are stretched from the first sprain it is real easy to turn your ankle again. I hope this isn't a recurring problem for Datone.

They say its nothing now until a week later... After giving it another test we actually found its not his ankle but his neck that is injured. I really don't listen to the medical news on em anymore.

As for Jones, I'm not overly concerned, but I would rather they just get him healthy for week 1 v. SF.

Yeah, it can take up to 6 months for the ankle to actually be "full strength" again. Hopefully they give him time to get as close to 100% as he can get before bringing him back. They'll need him.
