“As you can see, I’m fine now. I feel good, I feel ready to compete again,” Datone Jones said. “(But) I’m just going by what my coaches and my trainers are telling me to do. I’m just taking it a day at a time making sure I’m getting better.”
Here's what he had to say about what happened.
“All I can remember, I made a great inside move, great pass-rush move, all I saw was Carson Palmer in front of me, my eyes got bright, and then after that I was on the ground,” Jones said. “That’s all I can really remember. Me, I felt like I made a great play, and it turns out I hurt my ankle. I knew it wasn’t that bad. I could tell when I did it bad, I knew. This, I was, ‘OK, I’ll be back,’” Jones said of the UCLA injury. “I knew I would respond to this. The biggest thing is just getting healthy, making sure I’m OK to play. We still have a long season.”
