Sitting on my ass with a broken leg all summer.

Just checking out some game films from last year. Tell you what.

There were ALOT of dropped INTs last year.

Also, Arodge didn't connect on those deep "jump balls" like they did in '11. Might be due to the S's hanging deep.

Starks runs tough. We've had the "Big 5" WRs for a few years, I could see us carrying a "Big 5" RBs this year. Or, Ted could really get something in a trade at this position. I like our depth.

I've talked plenty of shit about Kuhn, but damn. He had a great open field tackle against Devin Hester on a punt return. It was early in the year though, I think he faded down the stretch.

Oh yeah, pass interference rules are RUINING THE GAME.

One more thing. The grass at Lambeau SUCKS SHIT. Tramon fell down in the Bears game I'm watching, leaving Marshall wide open in the end zone. Marshall dropped it of course, but players are constantly falling down on that crap. It's FIELD TURF. Natural grass with rubber bullshit weaved in. DO NOT LIKE IT. This team has enough injuries without that kind of bullshit. Get rid of it.

There were a lot of drops.
They had 5 RB a few years ago so it is not out of the question.
Kuhn certainly gives his all. It is unfortunate his all is not All Pro caliber. His effort usually is.
I hate the soft PI rules.
The "grass" looks pretty in December and January. I prefer the old muddy fields that they had up through the 80's and 90's. The NFL hates it and how it looks on tv. They don't care if someone falls or pulls up lame.

We went light in terms of numbers at both OL and DL last year, and that killed us. They are going to have to keep less of one or more positions to help balance this out. I felt we had too many WRs, TEs, and DBs last season.

Games are won in the trenches.

This is the heart of tough times during the offseason for us avid Packers fans. I can't talk about the grass... Ayeeee!

steve, I agree somewhat. Our talent level on the DL was about 3 deep with Raji, Pickett and Neal. No one else offered anything close to significant. We needed a real rotation, and had no one behind Raji. You can't have a rotation on your DL when you only keep 5 or 6... and only 3 are good. I expected more out of Wilson, Worthy and Daniels. Neal wasn't available for the first quarter of the season. We started with only 5 DL. That was light. (Oh, wait, we had Philip Merling, who had a whole 3 tackles in 3 games).

As for the OL, Barclay did a nice job filling in for Bulaga. EDS played better than Saturday. Lang had to fight through injuries to stay on the field, with no one else to take up that slack. We could have used another, and usually keep 8 or 9 OL. Last year we started with 7 on the 53.

I was much more worried about the DL last year with the suspensions and injuries going into the season. I feel much better about this year. I knew the OL would have issues as well but Barclay didn't worry me so much...I think the first play I saw from him was the great block on the fake fg against the Bears early in the season and I wasn't surprised he turned out to be serviceable by the end of the year.

This year I feel better about both units and MUCH better about the offense in general which will help the defense play even better. Don't forget that, while the defense was much maligned last year, they were rated 11th while the offense was 13th.

Same thing with the defensive line. Would it have really done more good if they had Merling and Muir/Hargrove on the 53 the whole year than the guys that they had?

Man I remember being all about some Muir in the pre-season. Guess that's why I am not in a front office job. I thought the guy held the point pretty well. But alas we had pickett and raji, so he didn't win out in the numbers game to my knowledge.

The more I think about it; the more this pre-season is about the offensive line.

Good article just posted.

The fact that the starters have been announced is only a plus.

The Vets can concentrate on their new roles and to help getting the young guys up to speed.

Once training camp rolls around later this month, Sitton’s job will be to make sure they’re ready — paying the same courtesy to the rookies and youngsters as previous Packers linemen bestowed upon him before he permanently supplanted Jason Spitz at right guard in 2009.

“Everybody gets hurt,” Sitton said. “It’s a part of this league — we need seven, eight guys who are able to play. One of my roles this year is to step up and be a leader, and teach them up and hopefully get a couple young guys ready to play.”

Mucky Tundra (9h) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (9h) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (9h) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (9h) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (9h) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (13h) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (13h) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (13h) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (16h) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (16h) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (16h) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (16h) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (16h) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (16h) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (16h) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (16h) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (17h) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (17h) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (17h) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (18h) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (18h) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (18h) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (18h) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (18h) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (19h) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (19h) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (19h) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (19h) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (19h) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (19h) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (20h) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (21h) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (21h) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (22h) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (22h) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (22h) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (22h) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (22h) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (22h) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (22h) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (22h) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (22h) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (22h) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
beast (22h) : We already have told you... if Packers lose all their games (they won't, but if they did), and Buccaneers and Falcons win all theirs
Zero2Cool (22h) : I posted it in that Packers and 1 seed thread
Zero2Cool (22h) : I literally just said it.
packerfanoutwest (22h) : show us a scenario where Pack don't get in? bet you can't
Zero2Cool (22h) : Falcons, Buccaneers would need to win final two games.
Zero2Cool (22h) : Yes, if they win one of three, they are lock. If they lose out, they can be eliminated.
packerfanoutwest (23h) : as I just said,,gtheyh are in no matter what
