The one bright spot from last night's game was Montgomery. He was causing having all night long both in the run and passing game. Hopefully this wasn't just a one game thing, but maybe he can follow this up with another strong performance against the Lions and go into the offseason strong.

Thoughts?

He is a tease.. has been from the day he arrived here.. he flashes talent in short bursts and then kind of just hangs around on the roster..

It probably was the game of his career, but he will be allowed to test the open waters.. maybe someone will see this tape and over pay him. 😉

My great fear is some backup player will play well at the end of the year and the Packers will think they have their defensive lineman or offensive lineman.

Tony Moll was actually the guy I was thinking of, but Montgomery will do.

I'm pretty sure he's a free agent anyways and even if he has a good game against Detroit, I wouldn't try to resign him. I will say it was nice to see someone playing hard for once. Actually the defense did play hard last night.

Could we use montgomery as a DT in the middle as a 3rd down pass play situations helps the push in the middle? What you guys think?
