As a three year player, he is officially the 2nd longest tenured player at the position to Burnett of the 6 we have on the current roster, so I fully expect him to do what is necessary to take over the 2nd starting safety position on this team.

I disagree it's not his bulk (or lack there of) that's the problem. It's because

1) he doesn't always like to tackle or hit people, which isn't just because he's lighter.

2) he struggles to react to the ball... often times he's in very good to great position before the throw... and can't make a play on the ball. At times in the red zone it's gone between his arms to the WR behind him (covered by a CB, as he was covering the TE / moving up to protect against possible run). I'm not sure you can coach reaction, but if he fixed this he could be a pretty good FS. But I'm not sure it can be fixed.
