Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears, in my opinion, is still the number one rivalry in all of the National Football League — that's despite the recent number three ranking by Russell S. Baxter over at The Bleacher Report. Number three? Really? And the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Baltimore Ravens and Tom Brady vs. [...]

yeah I saw that...listed Steelers vs. Ravens as #1. Are you kidding? s good as that rivalry is it ISN'T almost 100 years old, it doesn't involve two founding members of the NFL (in Halas and Lambeau) and didn't the Packers and I don't know about where you all are but I can tell you I have never seen rivalry excitement over a non-SB game like I did here when 'we" played the Bears for the NFC championship.

He's pretty specific about his rankings being a reflection of the present and not all-time. The Packers have owned the Bears, so it's not as competitive as Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I don't know if I'd include player vs. player rivalries, but Brady vs. Manning may top them all. Regardless, context is important, and the Packer blog is taking his article out of context.

Even if you accept the premise that it is PRESENT, the Steelers and Ravens aren't at the top, and Brady v. P. Manning? Maybe the 2nd or 3rd v. the 3rd or 4th best QB - if you really want PRESENT as your criterion. Arguably, they aren't even that high on the list if you REALLY mean PRESENT - the era of Kaepernick and Griffin in addition to the OBVIOUS #1 being above them.

If you really want PRESENT, I'd put Packers v. Vikings ahead of Packers/Bears.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
