When I was in little league, I let my hair grow long in the back and cut it short on top to look like him as best I could. I always was QB from as early as I can remember, although I’d have to say my first athletic idol was a running back you might have heard of. Barry Sanders.

My favorite memory would have to be the ’89 instant replay game, simply because that’s when it clicked that “Yeah, I like the Packers, gonna follow this team”.

My dad is a mason and he came home from work one day and said “Son, guess who’s house I’ll be working on in a few weeks?”. I had no clue and when he said Majik’s, I was begging him to come along. Dad usually brought me to side jobs, but said I was too much in “awe” and he didn’t want me constantly pestering Majik, lol. Majik had a place on Indian Trails in Green Bay that need some stone work for I think the fireplace or something. I had I believe an ’89 ProSet card that he got Majik to sign for me.

The entire 1989 season was a great memory.

The Packers finally moved on from Lynn Dickey, but all they had was Randy Wright. Damn he sucked. LOL. I remember once he said "Don't feel bad for me. I played 6 years and made $4 million dollars." LOL. That's about it. Think he had a couple years with the Steelers after he played with us.

The Pack brought in Marc Wilson from the Raiders, Vince Ferragamo from the CFL or Rams or wtf he was from at that point. LOL. We were desperate for a QB. I think we had Ken O'Brian from the Jets at some point too.

Majik had started out in college as a S iirc. Anyway he was like a 10th round draft pick. Athletic QB, could definitely scramble. He was great! Always threw about as many INTs as he did TDs though. Basically he made Lindy Infante's "million dollar sandlot football" system work. LOL

He went down on a hit out of bounds from iirc Lee Roy Selman. One of those guys from Tampa Bay. They were division rivals at the time.

I personally don't think his shoulder ever recovered. Holmgren was never real confident in Favre those early years, and if Majik would have still been solid, I think he'd have gone back to him. I think Majik backed up Scott Mitchell for years in Detroit. LOL.
