Sherrod just has more of the dimensions of the prototypical Left Tackle. Newhouse is about middle of the pack for left tackles and he lacks the height of most blind side protectors. I also don't think Newhouse has the Nasty in him that is needed for the position to be a dominator. I really see Sherrod becoming the left tackle he was drafted to be, but I don't think that happens before the first game this year so Newhouse has done pretty well and the Packers are lucky to Marshall.

To call him a bust is premature.

As of right now, he is a busted draft pick. Not his fault. Doesn't change the facts.

But I reserve the right to change my mind in the future. Must be all the estrogen around me...

Bust? When I refer to a player being a bust it is at the end of his tenure, not right smack in the middle of it. Semantics.. probably.. but why rush to judge the player in such totality?

Do I count on him becoming a part of the starters or solution to our ills on the offensive line overall? No, at this point I would not "count" on him being there this season, maybe never. Depends on how he recovers, and then how he reactivates himself to football contact and speed of live reps.

I think he was making steps right before the injury (if memory serves correctly), can he rekindle that? We shall see.
