Is it considered signing a FA or re-signing our own player?

How do you categorize this?

Would count as a FA signing.

Packers wouldn't be extending an old contract, that contract ran out at the end of last year.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

People say Ted never signs free agent. He does, it's just that they are his own.

Yeah, James Jones for example turned out to be a great FA signing.

I consider it a FA signing but I got into a big argument over it a few years ago over on the CBS board. My thoughts are that Jennings is just as much of a free agent as Steven Jackson was so if the Packers sign him they signed a FA.

I really doubt GB signs him. MIN is laying on the schmooze now, and will offer the dollar figure closer to what he wants. I cannot see Ted throwing $10M at him per year, and I think MIN offers that or more.

Jordy, Jones and Cobb make any priority in signing Jennings far less urgent, and close to disqualifies the possibility, especially at that figure.

I would be shocked if Jennings returns to GB.
