I've al;ways thought of Harrison as undersized and a bit overhyped. He's got some off the field issues and his mouth is probably too big to fit in our locker room.

Harrison would have to come way down on his salary demands though. It's unlikely, imo but an intriguing possibility.

EDIT:

Per a league source, the Steelers offered a reduction of roughly 30 percent in Harrison’s base salary of $6.57 million, with an opportunity to earn the money back via incentives. (The specific terms of the incentives aren’t known.)

Harrison balked, confident he’ll get more money elsewhere.

Ok THAT doesn't bode well. lol.

Then again...

Aging pass rushers are plentiful this year, from John Abraham to Dwight Freeney to Osi Umenyiora to, potentially, Elvis Dumervil.

The current thinking is that Harrison made the decision without his agent gauging the market elsewhere. Which means that Harrison could be in for a rude awakening, soon.

Do we play the Steelers this year? Maybe he'll be extra hungry.

Can you imagine how motivated Steven Jackson would be to win it all with GB? I think he would be a cool signing.

But, let's remember, we're dealing with Double D - Double T. Draft n' Develop Ted Thompson. 😆 😆 😆

Hasn't signed a significant FA since 2006. But, I'm pullin' for him!

I think the Packers are in a similar spot.

Letting JF go would free up the money needed this year to sign one big FA, everybody pretty much agrees that a RB like Jackson could be the "one piece" of the puzzle that has been missing.

I like the core of young Rb's The Packers have but Jackson is better than any of them even at his age.

The only problem being he still would not get enough carries with McCarthy calling the plays.

This year's draft is safety heavy, but I wouldn't mind bringing in Adrian Wilson or Louis Delmas.

I don't understand why people are even talking about Harrison or Jackson and not a guy like Jake Long. The game is won and lost in the trenches. Last years drubbing the 9ers laid on us should have tought us that, yet we ponder what a long in the tooth running back can bring?

beast (8-Jan) : I missed it, sorry, but he got into the NFL Hall of Fame years before that
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Jones took his sweet ole time!
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Yeah, he's in the ring of honor, just saw video and his name is up there
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (8-Jan) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (8-Jan) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (8-Jan) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : That might be it for the Vikings
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
