I never much cared for Booby Knight until I heard that "motivational" speech. I'm onboard as well, and my only critique would be that a train would have added to the humor a smidgen.
Appropos of nothing but sheer entertainment, an additional "motivatonal" speech, this one the "Jelly donut" episode, although Hollywood did screw this up just a bit. As you watch, note that Pvt. Pyle refers to himself as "I". No recruit in his right mind has ever done that more than once. You refer to yourself as either "the private" or "Laundry number 21" or whatever it might be. Just about everything else is "spot on", including the hygiene inspection as depicted, an unlocked footlocker, and the tossing of contents, although usually done with much greater vigor and fanfare.

Oh, btw. missed by most viewers I would suspect. Note the total lack of "rubber neck" syndrome by the fellow recruits. This train wreck would be heard, not seen, unless within your direct vision. This lesson is also quite expensive if one were to deviate from the Marine Corps plan.
