Looks like Starks is coming back.

The Packers got some good news with the return of running back James Starks, who missed the last five games with a knee injury. McCarthy says it's too early to say how much he'll play against the 49ers.

If Starks is completely healthy, do you go with him over Harris?

Starks is a veteran, which means I would tend to favor him in the playoffs, all other things being equal.

But I don't necessarily think all other things are equal here. Especially if Stark's isn't 100%. I think Harris gets more carries.

While they both bring something different to the table, DuJuan Harris has been playing overly well for where he came from. I would not take away snaps from Harris, especially since Mike McCarthy is still uncertain of Starks ability to fully play.

Harris > Starks for the meantime.

I would say no. Not only has Harris been running well, he has been effective in the screen game and with check down catches. But IMO the biggest reason is, that we have been running different, and run blocking different. That takes time to get the timing down and Starks is not going to have that.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I can't imagine Harris not getting the start. Rodgers obviously has trust in him right now and he is producing. Happy to have Starks coming back healthy. Great set of diverse tools in the backfield at McCarthy's disposal.

Harris gets the start and the majority of the carries if he produces.

So if Starks is 100%, does Grant stay on the roster?

hope we get starks going - like the dude - nto sold on dujuan; seems like too small of a guy and not enough muscle to get the job done ... I give the hats off to our Oline for his success.

So sad to see grant back in there - even thou he had a good run last game

It would be great having both guys for the game. Starks is probably much better than Harris in any situation where the other team expects a run is coming. He's our best player at breaking tackles and getting tough yards he just doesn't have the burst that Harris does.

Harris should start. He's had the "hot hand". If Starks is ready, you activate him and if Harris isn't doing well, you put him in.

Mucky Tundra (now) : oh fuck me i messed that up
Zero2Cool (now) : Jordan Davis was 13th overall
    Zero2Cool (1m) : Carter was 9th overall
Zero2Cool (1m) : Eagles had 15th and 10th selections, moved to 13 and 9 to get Davis and Carter back to back
Zero2Cool (2m) : Eagles traded up for Carter, didn't they?
Mucky Tundra (12m) : Obviously he was a huge risk but getting a top 5 talent on the dline in the mid 20s is fortuitous
Mucky Tundra (13m) : Jalen Carter falling into their lap certainly helps
TheKanataThrilla (15m) : And we could only wish to have this type of D
TheKanataThrilla (16m) : It's not like Philly has had low draft picks, but has managed to get themselves a top notch pass rush. We spend so much draft capital of D
packerfanoutwest (17m) : another crap halftime show
TheKanataThrilla (17m) : I think it is over, but then I think of Atlanta and want Philly to go in with the same intensity in the second half
Mucky Tundra (26m) : And with a Pass Rush that might as well be on a milk cartoon and no Jaire
Martha Careful (27m) : I cant help but feel good about how well the Packers D played in Philly during the playoffs
Mucky Tundra (37m) : this game is over
Mucky Tundra (41m) : This might be the kill shot here
Mucky Tundra (50m) : oh that's such a bad penalty for KC after getting the 3rd down stop
TheKanataThrilla (58m) : Philly DL has come to play
TheKanataThrilla (59m) : Ceoper DeJean with the INT scored...bad memories of draft night
Mucky Tundra (1h) : ok scratch that
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Game feels like last years Super Bowl: 49ers started off in control, moved the ball well but didn't have much of a lead to show for it
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : KC jumped and they call it on Eagles. WTF refs
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : If he was offside why did you let him pop the QB?
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : I like that Eagles are controlling time of possession so far.
Mucky Tundra (1h) : If the Eagles are going to win, this is how they do it: jump all over the Chiefs and don't let it turn into a close one
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : Bad throw created that penalty.
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : Amazed Philly got that hit to the helmet call.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : refs just called an OPI,,,bullshit
    dhazer (2h) : final score Chefs 24 Eagles 21 Refs 3
Mucky Tundra (4h) : feels like it hurts everyone but starters
Mucky Tundra (4h) : *cut down on snaps that
Mucky Tundra (4h) : beast, no not at all. Just seems counterproductive to cut down on snaps to help back ups get playing time and get potential money after cuts
Zero2Cool (6h) : So, Jets tell Rodgers they're moving on? QB2 for Packers haha
    Zero2Cool (6h) : Hey, I'm not saying it's the great idea. I'm saying, it's what I think will happen.
beast (6h) : You think they give a crap enough about bubble guys to make rules for them?
Mucky Tundra (7h) : So games that will be even *more* sloppy the first two or three weeks of the season?
Zero2Cool (10h) : I think you can figure most starters won't be playing either of the two games at all.
Mucky Tundra (23h) : is 2 preseason games enough for bubble guys to make a mark?
    packerfanoutwest (8-Feb) : true.forgot about that
Zero2Cool (8-Feb) : Unless they reduce preseason from three to two games.
packerfanoutwest (8-Feb) : If Goodell allows an 18 game season, there will be a SB on Valentines Day
Zero2Cool (8-Feb) : Perfect football player. - Ron Wolf on Sharpe
    Zero2Cool (8-Feb) : Sharpe didn't celebrate TD's ... crazy I didn't realize it back then
Martha Careful (7-Feb) : Congratulations Sterling Sharpe
Mucky Tundra (7-Feb) : beast, you didn't miss much with that one. Raiders didn't update their play calls, audibles etc so the Bucs D steamrolled
buckeyepackfan (6-Feb) : That was quick, one thing Jordan said was he doesn't agree with Josh Jacobs, that the Packers need to go get a proven #1 wr

beast (6-Feb) : I was young and didn't get enough sleep... fell asleep during the Buccaneers/Raiders Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (5-Feb) : Patriots / Panthers feeling is what I got. didn't watch that one either
Zero2Cool (5-Feb) : Easier to get a camera on her in the suite where she can't impact the game by being distraction???
