Aaron Rodgers cares about nothing else other than winning Super Bowls. Sure, other individual achievements may cross their mind here and there, but the desire to be a champion trumps everything else. It's not even close. To say otherwise is silly. I could care less if Rodgers never breaks any of Favre's records, so long as he wins a few more championships, and I'm sure he feels the same. Rodgers has said before that he wants to win a few championships, and likely retire. He knows that's what really matters and means the most in the long-run, regardless of anything Favre did or did not do. He's not in competition with Favre, he's in competition with current NFL teams. Would he like to break some of Favre's records? Sure. Who the hell wouldn't? What player wouldn't like to break any monumental NFL milestones. However, I can say with some certainly that most would trade multiple championships, especially as a key contributor, to individual success. Obviously the best of both worlds would be to do both, and we should all hope all Packer players do such things, as that would likely result in an elite team. If the Packers would truly a "stat padding" team, we would see a lot more running up the score like the Saints and Patriots do. The Packers rarely do that, much to the dismay of some Packer fans. Once they secure a win, they get fairly conservative and move forward.

What a silly argument Nerd continually tries to make. Dakota is right, he's entitled to his opinion, even if it's completely wrong and nonsensical.

Anyone who starts at the QB position for more than 20 years is bound to put up numbers. I wouldn't be surprise if Aaron played for 20 years he'd be somewhere close to that but with less Interceptions and a ton more Lombardi's

🇦🇷 and 🇲🇲 are obsessed with topping Favres amount of Super bowl championships. Idiots... they need to grow up and focus on football.

I think it was a NFL Network interview where Rodgers said "you earn your pay-cheque in the regular season, and your legacy in the playoffs". I like that and I am glad that is how he views things as a Packer fan.

I remember big John Henderson used to love to be slapped and hit before games to pump him up. James Hetfield (lead singer of Metallica, understandably kind of a lame example), used to or maybe still does step around in cat litter before shows. People use all kinds of different things to motivate, prepare, and push them throughout their careers. Football is an extreme game, and sometimes takes extreme measures (although I view nothing Rodgers does as extreme in terms of a chip on his shoulder). The guy just wants to prove that he can be one of the best. Good for him. Most the stars have felt the same way. I hope he continues to not only want to be one of the best Green Bay Packers ever, but one of the best players of all time, because if he achieves that, it likely means another Super Bowl win, or two, for the Packers. Hopefully Rodgers successor feels the exact same way. The Packers could have a QB like Mark Sanchez, Romo, Schuab, Locker, Dalton, . . . the list goes on and on. How lucky Packer fans are.

I am re-watching the superbowl right now. The number of slants and quick passes we are running is simply awesome, and i am suddenly sad.

There is a great article on Rodgers by Trent Dilfer. He talks about how QB's can beat you with their brains, arm, accuracy, and feet, stating Rodgers blows all other QB's away when you combine those four elements.
That was not the most interesting part of the article, however. He went on to say that the 49r's are in trouble because their defense has not changed much and they utilized the same schemes and looks all year. He went on to talk about Atlanta a few years ago and how they beat the Packers in the regular season but then Rodgers smoked them in the playoffs. The Falcons, in Dilfers mind, made the fatal error of thinking they had defensive schemes that could hold Rodgers in check but what happened was he saw everything they were trying to do and was one step ahead of them the second time around.
He went on to say that while the 49'rs have had success on defense their lack of additional kinds of schemes to throw Rodgers off will allow him to carve them up this second time around. They run essentially the same looks they did in week one.

I hope he's right.

As far as being a stat whore I think that's bogus. I see him as a guy that only cares about winning and if INT's didn't = losses he wouldn't worry about not throwing them as much. Based on how many games he's won and how many we lost thru no fault of his having done what he could to get a W I say just keep doing what your doing.

beast (34m) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (34m) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (10h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (10h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (12h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (13h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (14h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (14h) : Thank you
wpr (14h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (14h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (14h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (14h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (15h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (15h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (15h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (15h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (15h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
