Two weeks missing fairly routine FGs. Obviously not a concern for a game like today but a huuuge concern for a close game with the winning score less than a TD. I haven't heard that he has any injuries. Maybe the placeholder and him are not entirely on the same page.

So are Crosby's misses an aberration or something to be concerned about?

not really. It's not like the last time that he was struggling. Then his kicks were starting off bad and just got worse. Now his kicks are on target and hard enough. But then they knuckle, and no telling where it goes. Knuckle balls are usually caused by hitting the ball square, or hard. If he can get a little less of the ball, it shouldn't knuckle like it has been.

Worried about crosby?

no.

I'm worried Ted might get a papercut when he signs Nate Kaeding.

I'm a little worried about his mental state. He seems to normally miss an important kicks with tons of pressure on him... but just seems like his confidence has taken a hit. I think MM use be trying to get him used to the pressure.

Make him do FG kicks... and the whole team (or at least those under 285) have to go gasser right after every miss. That would put some pressure on him... and maybe make the linemen do them too... but maybe shorter distance...

Also make the TE and WR groups do gasser for their drops... they've gotten out of hand (literally)

Kicking the football isn't as easy as you think. Everyone misses from time to time. I'll only begin to worrie if he misses a FG that would give us the lead or tie it late in the game.

Maybe it's time to bring a kicking expert and a sports psychologist in to work with him.
