I think this is a huge bounce back game for the Packers. Everyone is pointing fingers at the Packers and
some are even throwing in the towel on the season. [grin1]
Fact is, the Packers played 1 of the top three physical teams in the league last week. It took its toll over the course of that game and we got punched.
The Bears, sorry but they just aren't the same brand of team, are not as stout at the point of attack on both sides. They have secondary issues and backers (not named Briggs) are slowing down. They have a suspect offensive line but they have adopted a primary 3 step drop to get the ball out of Cutlers hands quicker and to assist the line play.
Cutler called it right, we are probably going to challenge the Bears receivers more at the LOS.. trying to take away some of those quick throws to place that pressure on the line. If they try and hold the ball and let routes develop, I think we punish Cutler and that line. So if the Packers can handle the WR's in the first 10 yards.. I think we blow the Bears out.
If not.. it will depend on the Packers offense outscoring them in a ping pong type game.. shootout so to speak. The Bears secondary can be had, so I expect us to be able to pass and I think we will establish a running game.. the Bears D line in the middle I think is suspect. So we will score points.. I would think at least 30.
I think the Packers have moments of struggle on defense, but I expect a better performance. I think the bend don't break in this game.. I expect the Bears to score around 17 - 24. If we fustrate Cutler early and get him moving, I don't know the Bears offense even scores more than 13.
Packers 31
Bears 16
This is
surely a more glass half full type of prediction.. but I just have that feeling.
Brewers rolling again after a tough loss on Sunday.. Badgers will bounce back.. So will the Packers.
And yes,
I am serious.
