For those that are keeping tabs on CaringBridge (I thank you with all of my being), expect some sort of icky updates. Details are still being deciphered at the moment, but there isn't an ETA on when we'll get them at the moment.

I only post this here instead of letting those that are following get the updates they normally would is because if I'm edgy, snappy, or downright bitchy, it's because of this. I'm far from graceful when it comes to dealing with this kind of stuff. I don't expect you guys to take it sitting down, so feel free to light me back up, but I just want I guess fore-warn you all on a potential crabby-pants Formo.

formo I walked in those moccasins myself. Monday is the 5 yr anniversary since I lost my Dad to C. It still hurts and I am still pissed.

but at the same time I am extremely grateful to have had the time I did with him in his last few years.

I am glad you posted this here because I do want to show you and your family my support. I stopped going over to the other site because it is a bit difficult for me. I guess that makes me a baby.

I've had many people, who have lost loved ones to cancer, come up to me and tell me how much our battle with Mia's has meant to them. All those comments seemed to make our battle a little easier. Formo-sorry to hear that your dad is doing worse. I hope going back to the old chemo drug works. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Latest (you guys getting an 'unofficial' update before his CaringBridge will) is dad's doctor is getting the opinions from two other doctors, one a surgeon, the other another doctor. The fluid is coming from his liver (which is where the cancer had spread) and it's condition is apparently getting worse. We'll be making the trip up to the hospital tomorrow to further comfort him. Doctors have said that surgery (more specifically liver transplant) is not an option, but if direct meds doesn't do the trick he'll probably need liver stints. If that happens, he'll probably get that done at Abbott in MPLS.

Not quite sure if I have digested all this or not. I guess we're just taking this one baby step at a time.

But I do sincerely, with every fiber of my being, appreciate the empathy. Not just from you, but Wayne and others as well. This isn't something I know how to deal with yet. I'm certainly not strong enough to being handling this.

i've been keeping tabs on the ole man via caring bridge & i'm so very sorry to hear the latest. takes me right back to certain moments with my dad & i cannot begin to express how much my heart hurts for you all. as you move forward in this journey, we're all here for you in whatever way we can be.

you will gain strength that you never thought you'd have & it will remain with you forever. one thing i wish i would have done was talked to my dad about his pain, his fears, & just let him cry with me. i was a little too strong & maybe missed some precious moments with him because of it.

love, hugs, & prayers to your entire family.
