Lets be honest.. probably 45 spots or so are locked up. So it is time for the surprises and the fill type players to leap or leave.

Dion Turner . CB. Apparently is starting to make noise in camp.

Anthony Levine and Sean Richardson. S. Levine is in his third year.. now or never. Perry apparently is liking what he sees in Richardson.

Terrell Manning. LB. Much hype followed this kid.. in interviews, he seems overwhelmed with the calls and scheme. I would expect him to start flashing if the game slows a bit.

Andrew Datko. T. The door is wide open for him to latch onto this roster.. Bulaga, Newhouse are locks. Sherrod I believe will start the season on the PUP to allow for more flexibility on the roster. This leaves an opportunity for at tackle.

Jarari Lattimore..LB. Shifted inside.. that should be a street fight for spots there.. Can he seize the day.

Dezman Moses. LB. Seen some were disappointed with his showing last week.. IMO, he was just fine for first action. I expect him to have a spot on the 53. Want that validated.

Worthy. DL. I want to see him step up and show that fire that he displayed in college. Personally I think this kid may become that enforcer inside the defensive huddle. The guy that you can't look into his eyes if you screw up because they are tighter than BB"s piercing your soul. I don't expect that today.. but I think he can become that guy eventually.

Genus and Dominguez. Interior Lineman. Both are in their second years in camp.. I expect one of them to step up and seize a spot or look for the turk.

Mike Daniels. DL. if he is ready to go... haven't heard much on his status. Excited to see him at this level.

I need to see some non terrible safety play.
With Bishop out I want to see big things from DJ smith, maybe Hawk will make some big plays. But we need our new depth at LB to step it up.
I want to see someone new on the Dline establish themselves.
Corners need to make a jump.

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/preview-em6go7p-166363066.html

Injury report: Packers - WR Shaky Smithson (ankle), WR Diondre Borel (groin), RB Du'ane Bennett (knee), CB Davon House (shoulder), Brandon Saine (hamstring), FB Jon Hoese (hamstring), CB Sam Shields (elbow), RB James Starks (turf toe), LB Desmond Bishop (hamstring), LB Frank Zombo (hamstring), DE Johnny Jones (knee), OG Ray Dominguez (ankle), OT Derek Sherrod (leg), TE Andrew Quarless (knee), WR Greg Jennings (concussion) and TE Jermichael Finley (thigh) are out;

LINE THEM UP: This will be a big game for rookie defensive linemen Jerel Worthy and Mike Daniels. Worthy did very little in his first game and Daniels is coming back from knee and groin injuries. This will be the first look at the two of them in the nickel together.

So much for Dominquez... but Daniels appears to be a go as of now.

I thought Worthy looked good.

Casey Heyward play better, M.D. Jennings play better, and what Newhouse has to offer at LT. I am interested to see if Benson gets any snaps at RB, and if Harrell can show some accuracy in his passes.

IMO Heyward and Jennigs got spun around in coverage. Jennings had his hands full covering Gates. Rivers saw man coverage, a skilled TE and a young DB and took advantage of a young safeties inexperience. Hopefully Jennings learned a valuable lesson.

He might not be the most physical of corners, but his ball skills rate very high. A good showing tonight and the No. 1 corner job could be his to lose.

TheKanataThrilla (58m) : Exactly buck...Washington came up with the ball. It is just a shitty coincidence one week later
buckeyepackfan (59m) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (1h) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
buckeyepackfan (1h) : Turnovers rule, win the turnover battle, win the game.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : well, he was
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : Eagles down by contact on the fumble....fuck you NFL
Mucky Tundra (1h) : I think this games over
beast (2h) : Eagles sure get a lot of fumbles on kickoffs
Mucky Tundra (2h) : This game looks too big for Washington
packerfanoutwest (5h) : that being said, The Ravens are the Browns
packerfanoutwest (5h) : Browns, Dolphins have longest AFC Championship droughts
packerfanoutwest (5h) : As of today, Cowboys have longest NFC Championship drought,
beast (16h) : Someone pointed out, with Raiders hiring Carroll, the division games between Carroll and Jim Harbaugh are back on (who can whine more games)
beast (21h) : I'm confused, Pete Carroll and Brian Schottenheimer? When Todd Monken, Joe Brady, Kellen Moore, Kliff Kingsbury and Zac Robinson are availab
Zero2Cool (25-Jan) : Any reason I'm catching a shot here about my intelligence?
Martha Careful (25-Jan) : thank you Mucky for sticking up for me
Martha Careful (25-Jan) : some of those people are smarter than you zero. However Pete Carroll is not
Mucky Tundra (24-Jan) : Rude!
beast (24-Jan) : Martha? 😋
Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
