Pickett is a better DT than williams

How did they get into fg position. They started on the 2 yard line

Thats our defense.....or lack of it, that is.
The D coordinator needs to go.....now. (Actually about 8 weeks ago)
Now even if they finally do the right thing and axe him, it's too late for it to make any difference.
Our year is toast. We are toast.

Sanders is going to be the scapegoat of this season

Our best D-linemen this year goes down in Jenkins.

Our best pass rusher is not the same in KGB.

Our best DT pass rusher is traded, and not replaced.

Our original starting strong safety who broke out last year has been riddled with injuries.

Our DTs have been below par in depth.

That is surely Sanders fault. [/sarcasm]

Look, Sanders doesn't deserve to go un-blamed, but at the end of the day this D is lacking some major pieces up front.

I agree on the injuries but the D on the field still has lots of talent and should be performing better than this. BAD coaching.

Off season, if I'm Murphy I gotta look right now at Thompson and say "dude, you put this team together. I also have to look at McCarthy and say you're butt is on the line too. You're the coach and the guy who is supposed to have this team prepared.

"packedhouse02" wrote:

I'll agree with you.

There is a consistent trend with us coming out and starting the game slowly. Given that the "First 15" are supposed to be the scripted plays you run first, and have spent most of your practice time working on, there is a clear problem with execution. Coaches need to find a way to fix it.

Third downs, today we were terrible. Our D is struggling, and if we can't convert to keep them off the field then we are in very very big trouble.

Today's game proves that even having favourable field position means the D will struggle to get stops.

Our starters today at RE were Michael Montgomery, and at LB Desmond Bishop.

Montgomery, on any playoff team, would've been hard pressed to be active on game day.

Bishop is a great run stuffer, hard hitter. He was our Will LB today. He had to play in coverage. Bishop = terrible in coverage. He bit on moves of a TE quite a few times.

Coaching hasn't been great, but then again you don't have the sheer talent to overcome devastating injuries to your best players on D like the Giants have done.

Coaching, after today's game, clearly cannot go un-questioned. But the problem isn't simply coaching....

The problem isn't just the coaching, it's also the vanilla defensive scheme we're running. It's clearly not working.

You are of course correct, but this team time and again is in the wrong position. The defense line, talent wise, is awful. But the D Coordinator has to take the hit because it's his job to prepare to play with what he has. And there are others too, Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy toname just two.

Why the heck did we punt when it was tied 21-21? I know that it was a long field goal in bad weather, but I have faith in Crosby.

It really didn't matter about the field position, the Texans marched down the field as if it was nothing and got in field goal range.

Really it would have been better if they DID kick the field goal and if Crosby missed it, I still think it would have been better. We would have had time left on the clock to make some kind of attempt on a drive down the field to win the game.

I don't know, just my opinion.

Watching Packers games almost makes me cry each week. We always seem to lose in the last couple of minutes. I can't take it anymore

Zero2Cool (16h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (19h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (19h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (21h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (21h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (21h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (21h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (21h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (21h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (21h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (21h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (21h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (21h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (21h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (22h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (23h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (23h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (23h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
