Packer in great position on Day 3

With 7 picks picks remaining on Day 3, only one team has more picks left than Green Bay (Minnesota has 9, Pittsburgh and Cleveland also have 7 picks). We should be able to make some more moves to shore up depth along the offensive line, secondary, and at running back today. As always, I expect Ted to be aggressive with undrafted free agents as well.

Some serious talent still available on Day 3. Should be interesting to see which new guys we add.

These guys were all drafted last year in rounds 4-7:

Lawrence Guy

I know 1 year is not enough time to evaluated these guys, but after looking at those name I'm starting to believe that trading up is the right move. None of the those guys were major contributors. I think its in our best interest to get some more 4th round talent and then sign a bunch of undrafted free agents.

With a team that was 15-1 quality should be valued over quantity.

You don't get contributions from 4-7 round picks in the first year without injuries. I think House and DJ Smith have bright futures ahead of them.

We have two comp picks at the bottom of the 4th. Those are untradeable. I don't think we have a regular 4th rounder.

Thanks millertime for the info from last year. Taylor looks like a steal with his STs contributions. I can't wait to see what DJ WIlliams does with a year under his belt. I'm really hoping we see the Lawrence Guy that Ted wanted to see when he made that pick.

Here's a quick look at what we were able to get in 2010 draft (check out after the 4th round):

So, after R4 we were able to land some pretty significant contributors. We could wind up having an epic draft this year, when its all said and done... with 7 picks left!!! Holy crap!
