So in your opinion, personal revulsion or moral outrage is an acceptable basis for law?

Though, I will admit to being mostly ignorant on the facts of the above claim with the exception of the real life 'lyger' that was born to a tiger and lion parents. I thought I recalled that scientists had to be hands on to keep the health of the spawn up. but again, could be wrong.

But this isn't about personal revulsion or human law, rather that there is a natural order to things and one part of that is humans were not meant to have sex with animals. I believe that most people understand this innately. Then there are exceptions like Mr. Donkey-banger here in Africa, but he is probably psychologically deficient and unable to ascertain the innate natural order, hence his acceptance of a behavior that violates the natural order.

Flame away.

In his defense, though, something like this would most likely be my excuse, as well, if someone found me with my dick in a donkey.

Morality comes from the Bible. Without it, you are right, there are NO "moral absolutes".
That's where "if it feels good, do it!" is the exact opposite.

You can decide yourself if something is wrong or right. (That's why the world is so screwed up today).
Of course that's what mankind has tried to do for a long time.
That's why the theory of evolution was made up, to do away with God. And thus, any moral absolutes.

This guy decided it was morally ok to have sex with a donkey. I wouldn't doubt if they come up with a group trying to say he was "born that way" and that it should be an accepted "alternate lifestyle".
Laugh.....but i seriously wouldn't doubt that it will happen some day, in the not so distant future.
