Porky have you ever heard any rumblings about the Packers dangling James Jones for trade bait for say a third round pick? I'd like to see us get Dlineman, OLB, and a safety with our top three picks, but if one of the centers is taken, I won't cry too much.

I think I heard the JJ rumor from Arrigo. It would be a borrow from Peter to pay Paul scenario, but JJ probably gets a little frustrated playing behing Jorde and soon to be Cobb.

Honestly, it doesn't make sense, in my assessment. You want to upgrade your weaknesses, but not at the expense of your strengths.

The Packers are going to receive a compensatory pick for Cullen Jenkins, so they should have five selections in the first four rounds. That is enough to upgrade the overall depth of this team, assuming they have another solid draft.

Yes I think that about JJ too. Jones is a good player. Just because we have a lot of good WRs doesn't mean we should trade them away.

Those stats for $3M. 2.5 catches a game. Sorry I really don't see the reasons for the JJ love.

William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

His contract is not bad at all. Look at some of these guys in the 3-4 mill range.

Anyway, if I could get a 3rd rounder out of James Jones, I'd do it every day and twice on Sunday. We are very thin at DL, OLB, and safety - and the more higher picks we can use to land serviceable players the better.

I very much doubt we could get a third for him though, because he couldn't even get a decent contract last year when he was an unrestricted free agent. James Jones is horribly overated by Packer Fans.
