Daniel Snyder is still an idiot when it comes to building a football team.

First there was John Hadl. Then there was Herschel Walker. And now there is Robert Griffin III.

Washington:
#2 pick this year.

St. Louis.
#6 pick this year.
Washington's #2 pick this year (#39 overall).
Washington's #1 next year.
Washington's #1 in 2014.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

So, if the Colts take Andrew Luck who ends up being say 3/4 of Peyton Manning good for them and what if Robert Griffith III turns out to be another Ryan Leaf, lol.

Good grief. All that just to move up 4 spots in the draft? Redskins would have been better staying put and pursuing someone like Flynn in FA. These are the kind of trades that can set teams back for a good 5+ seasons if they don't pan out. Look out for the Rams the next few seasons. They are going to do some reloading.

Daniel Snyder is the kind of poker player I would love to be sitting across from at the casino. He thinks his loose, aggressive style intimidates the other players at the table, and his wild bets are certainly crowd pleasers when they pay off, but more often than not he goes home busted at the end of the day, while the more sensible players are counting the cash in their fatter wallets.

I don't think Snyder is motivated by winning football games, whatever his PR department is told to say. He's motivated by being a mega-gazillionaire with power to make big decisions and be an "Important public figure". Free agency money is petty cash to him. The Redskins are the way he makes it rain.

My guess is that if he's at the poker table, he's there to win, period. And I'd never bet against a gazillionaire when they're out to win a card game.

Not unless they were falling down drunk and their handlers were too stupid to get them away from silly bets.

buckeyepackfan (17-Nov) : Jaire and Evans Williams are both ACTIVE! Good news.
Martha Careful (17-Nov) : The badgers really need to change the whole offensive scheme. No draws no screens plus the quarterback is marginal
Cheesey (17-Nov) : If the Badgers had a decent QB, they would have won. The guy can't hit a wide open receiver
Martha Careful (17-Nov) : chop block
