Rush Limbaugh today called a women's health advocate and Georgetown Law student a "slut." The Huffington Post transcribed Limbaugh's comments on Sandra Fluke, who'd spoken to a Democratic panel on the benefits of birth control: "[Fluke] testifies she's having so much sex she can't afford her own birth control pills, and she wants President Obama to provide them, or the Pope. ... What does it say about the college co-ed Susan [sic] Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex. What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute." Limbaugh then corrected himself: "So she's not a slut. She's round-heeled." Round-heeled, for the record, means "slut."

Limbaugh is a pain. I know much of what he says is meant to stir things up.

The real reason I posted this is when it comes to using The Pill, what difference does it make how many times a day/week a woman has sex? It doesn't "wear out" after 2 or 3 "events".

Back to Rush. So he doesn't want to pay for her pills. Ok fine. Does that mean he is willing to pay 18 years of support for the children she creates? I bet not. I think the real reason Limbaugh is upset is that she is getting some (a lot) and he can't get any unless he buys it and then at a premium price most likely. No wonder he is grumpy all the time.

I have a feeling it will be a long day in November for Republicans. In the last couple of years they have pissed off union laborers and united them, pissed off the elderly by giving them that embarrassment of a health care plan budget, and now alienated every women in the country (I'm glad their not talking about rectal probes for us dudes). Wait until the real truth about Mitt's wealth and where it is hiding comes out. Get ready for another 4 years of Barry people.

I can't admit to not knowing what Rush's problem with that whole Georgetown issue.. But I know my issue with it. And it's not that this woman claims to have too much sex and needs contraceptives. It's her hand out, almost demanding that a PRIVATE CATHOLIC school supply her contraceptives.

This reminds me of my cousin's complaint that Layola University didn't supply condoms for free. Well yeah.. DUH! If you wanted a school that provided such things, you picked the wrong one to attend, buddy.

Facts are, there are people that need medicine to stay alive, and can't afford it. (Like me, for example) yet there are those that want to screw around, and EXPECT the government to pay for it. I mean, F**KING is a choice, not a necessity, right? It's for FUN.
Should the government pay for people's cigarettes, or booze, or pot? NONE of those are needs either.
Once again, people don't want any responsibility for their own actions.

oh boy.
first of all, my dear male friends, contraceptives are not JUST for birth control. many women obtain health benefits simply by taking them. others have painful menses (& i mean squeeze yer nuts for you guys) kinda pain - bcp's very often help with that.
so call some woman a slut because she wants oral contraceptives paid for because you're a damn neanderthalic idiot who is so closed-minded that the only possible reason she could want bcp's is to have sex & alot of it - way to go there rushy boy. and also way to go catholic church for completely ignoring the other health benefits of bcp's. bury those heads some more! wow!!!
edit: i sounded way bitchy didn't i?? [boxing]

Mrs. Dakota happens to be one of these women that takes birth control to treat her endometriosis. She sure don't take em for fvckin. Hell if controlling births was the reason to take the pill, I'd roll the dice and gamble on another baby for those two times a year.

Cheesey you right wing ding, I'll keep slaving away for you, and paying taxes to pay for your medication OK. One day I'm going to slap you upside the head though and knock some social liberalism into you.

What fricken century does Santorum come from anyway. He's such a dumbass that he makes VR look like Einstein.

4PG,
I would accept that argument IF she cited that as the reason for taking them. I did not see her testify nor read the transcript but the big tub ol goo didn't mention that as a part of the reason at all.

My wife started to take the pill in HS for pain management. My daughter was only in Jr High. THAT was a gut check for her dad. She actually started having that special time of the month when she was 10. I really felt bad for her to have to deal with it when she was so young.
