I know there are a lot of pissed off people probably right now. But take a deep breath. It is so difficult to win back-to-back Super Bowls. I think the last time it happened was the Pats 2002-2003 and that was a team with Tom F'n Brady as the QB and Bill F'n Bellichek as the coach. Not to mention all the baggage with the off-field death to deal with.

Yeah, first team to win 15+ games and go 1 and out and the loss at home but honestly, its not like we're the Vikings or something that had a limited window. Who's old, Chuck and Driver? We're still a fairly young team with a QB in his prime. We'll be back. Obviously some things that need to get fixed but remember we were 15-1! 15-1! I think the fact that we did so well during the regular season actually screwed us because we basically didn't play a meaningful game for weeks.

Also, I am proud of this board, seems like everyone is pretty rational about all this.

The thing that is killing me right now is having to admit that Eli Manning is the real deal, I have been ragging on him for so many years, but he looked like a MVP out there.

It doesn't bother me that we lost. It's how we lost. This team consistently underperforms, year after year.
Yes I know, we won the Superbowl last year.

We were jinxed because AR said "123 FAMILY" instead of "123 DOMINATE".

And yeah, how we lost is really all the difference. It's rough to end a season with a sloppy, underwhelming performance. But it's gotta be nice for you because you can continue with this mind-numbing narrative about underperforming and lulls. If what you want is a great team that is always consistent, then start a Madden franchise on rookie mode.

Today was about the agony of defeat; much of the rest of the season has been the thrill of victory. I know we want consistency. We want a tougher defense. We want a lull-less team that doesn't just score more points than the other team, but dominates them. But that's just not realistic, and I for one would like to break the habit of holding a football team that I have no influence over to such a ridiculously high standard. I don't need a cookie or a pat on the back or an apology or anything. I don't need to hump your leg, either. Sorry, you just happen to be the person I most consistently disagree with.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

I just think our defense had an enourmous case of tiny nut syndrome all year. I expect them to come back very hungry next year. On offense, I think we are good to go even if Driver and Clifton retire. But next year McCarthy has to get more inventive with Cobb, but that weapon was underutilized. We have all the pieces in place to be very good for the long haul, but we lost this game by a team that was more hungry than we were.

Being that it is hard to repeat as Super Bowl Champions is and should be no consolation. We were 15-1 during the regular season, a very successful regular season, but the season was a failure. Especially when you factor in that we were 15-1 in the regular season.

This team let themselves down, their coaches down, and us fans down with that uninspiring performance.

Losing doesn't bother me much, losing because the team beat themselves does. I'd rather the Packers have played their A game and just came up short than them having eight drops and three turnovers.

27th over all selection, either an OL or pass rush specialist.

Zero2Cool (14h) : If only we had a topic to read about and discuss it. That's something new website must have!!!
dfosterf (14h) : Justice Musqueda over at Acme Packing put up an excellent synopsis of the Packers 1st round options this am
wpr (19-Apr) : 5 days
beast (18-Apr) : 6 days
wpr (17-Apr) : 7 days
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
