Because our pass rush is not as good as theirs and that is what the biggest problem with our team is overall.

Close second of course to holding on to the damn ball. Ryan Grant is a very annoying player to me. All I know, is that the liabilities on this time are doing a better job of making themselves known.

NonStop.

There are a great deal of people here hurting right now. Good fans, who had a huge emotional investment in the last year to this team.

Now is not the time to be looking for apologies.

That is like going to a fucking funeral and telling every person there that the guy owed you $20 bucks.

Maybe next week.

LOL. While I'm as disgusted as anyone, I'm certainly not going to puke or get sick, or even try to bitch at other posters. Yes, it was a horrible loss. For now, I'm going to grill my steak, sip my scotch, and enjoy the rest of the night. It'll be a long off season, but we will be right back in the thick of things next season. It's still good to be a Packer fan. The entire nation saw the holes in the defense all season, but there was nothing us fans could do about it, just had to hope for the best. Who knows, perhaps a bitter loss will really motivate this team next season? Gotta look on the bright side, no?

Absolutely. I think ultimately again, the Giants defense did better. They knocked the shit out of our players at every opportunity, forced turnovers and had a pass rush. They dictated to us. We have to decide what kind of team we are and play to that potential. If we are going to say we are an explosive offensive first team and not take care of the defense, then we better have the best pass protection in history.

Guess maybe it wasn't.

Giants beat the Patriots this year already. They can do it again.

I sure hope McCarthey learned his lesson about resting players. Rodgers was off today on a lot of passes, but there were several concentration errors by the receivers. Driver sure let it all hang out though.

And on the defensive side of the ball, the have to address the other outside linebacker position because to play the 3-4, you have to have the bookends. If they have to make a trade, then so be it, but that has to be addressed. It can't be disguised anymore. And Wood has to go to safety. He makes most of his plays against the dog shit quarterbacks and gets toasted by the better ones. It's time for Davon House to step up.

I am confused, I didn't think the D did that bad. It wasn't like we lost in a shootout like the Arizona game where you can say that the D is solely to blame.

- Then, for some odd reason, before the half we have all our CBs line up at the LOS and the Giants WRs run all-go routes. Our CBs are beat, playing the ball from behind instead of from the front.

- Then there were the plays where we rushed three players, and essentially provided Eli the time to take a vacation and come back and complete the throw. Poor pass-rush is a huge understatement. The difference between us trying to drop most of our guys into coverage to disrupt passing lanes and the Giants doing the exact same thing: Giants D-line can actually get home.

Frankly, we got beat in 2/3 phases (Offense and Defense) pretty bad. Turnovers on offense? That will kill you. Add to it that our D really is not capable of winning a game on its own... and we have a loss.

The problems with this D should not, in any way shape or form, been ignored. We gave up huge yards for a reason. Our lack of talent / commitment to fundamentals cost us.

The Pass rush wasn't even that bad most of the game. It's just that any time they didn't collapse the pocket quickly there were guys running free in the secondary. The problem all year with the D was that they couldn't ever get off the field on 3rd down and they didn't look any different tonight.

The difference between this years D and last years D was last year they didn't have to give up a 5-7 minute drive before they finally made a stop or got a turnover. Yeah they keep the points down sometimes but the offense gets less possessions. With the way this D was this year the offense has to be perfect to win and the two times it wasn't were 2 losses.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
