Yes, you were being a dick about it in the chat.
You played QB. Have you ever played receiver? If so, have you fought for a ball? I'd almost always go to the ground, even backwards because the correct way to win a fight for the ball is to fall down and roll with the ball, which Finley didn't do.
I was thinking wtf? That's one of the receiver's responsibilities. If the ball hits you in the hands, you don't let the other guy take it from you. I watched the replay and it confirmed that I now think Finley is overrated and won't be bummed at all if 🇹🇹 dumps him.
He's all mouth and no heart.

So, yes, jumping over someone who is committing interference while you are falling backwards and trying to reach above their head to make a catch ... it is difficult. Again, I was short so I had to be in that position several times.
The interception is not on Finley, but no question I do believe he should have caught it and/or did more to knock the ball out. When he rolled up he had this "duh what just happened" look on his face.
I'm with you on not being bummed if he's not resigned. I said during the off season I needed to see a full season of Finley before I feel he deserves a big contract. I won't name any names, but several blasted the hell out of me for it. I don't know why he's so out of focus this season, but if they can get his focus back, and signed to a top 10-15 TE money, I'd be okay with that. But he's not worth top 5 TE money, not to me.
