GB kicks Oakland's butt and Aaron has his first QB rating below 100. (96.7 according to ESPN) The int really dropped his rating. 20+ points.

This season has been a total failure. The Packers AGAIN failed to put up more than 50 points. Such a disappointment.

Edit, just watched the play again. Definitely should have been thrown higher. Finley didn't even need to jump as the ball cleared the defenders head by a few inches. That's a difficult catch and should have been caught if the defender didn't commit pass interference. Even with the interference, and falling backwards away from the ball, it would have been nice to see him fight to knock the ball away or something. The play just sucked.

Here are some milestones that could be accomplished today:
• With a win OR with a loss AND a New Orleans loss, the Packers clinch the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye
  • With a win AND a San Francisco loss AND a New Orleans loss, the Packers clinch the No. 1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs
  • With a win, the Packers solidify their hold on sole possession of the second-longest winning streak in NFL history (19)
  • With a win, the Packers extend their NFL-record of consecutive games in which they never trailed in the 4th quarter (19)
  • With a win, the Packers become the first Packers squad and only the 8th team in league history to a season 13-0-0
  • With 2 touchdown passes, Aaron Rodgers ties the league record for most consecutive games with 2 touchdown passes (14)
  • With 2 touchdown passes, Aaron Rodgers ties the team record for touchdown passes in a season (39)
  • With 1 interception return for a touchdown, Charles Woodson ties the league record for most career interception returns for touchdown (12)
• These are just the first ones off the top of my head. I am sure there are more.

You played QB. Have you ever played receiver? If so, have you fought for a ball? I'd almost always go to the ground, even backwards because the correct way to win a fight for the ball is to fall down and roll with the ball, which Finley didn't do.

I was thinking wtf? That's one of the receiver's responsibilities. If the ball hits you in the hands, you don't let the other guy take it from you. I watched the replay and it confirmed that I now think Finley is overrated and won't be bummed at all if 🇹🇹 dumps him.

Other than Finley ruining 🇦🇷's QB rating record, one heck of a game. I gotta give props to Ryan Grant especially as he's someone I wrote off as losing a step. He really showed up today.

Our D did exactly what it was supposed to do today. We got 3 and outs. We also got key takeaways. Great job D. We held them scoreless in the 1st half.

Packers became only the second team in league history to start out 13-0 after winning the Super Bowl the previous season. The other team was the 1998 Broncos.

The Packers have now won 11 games in a row at home. During this period, they have scored 403 points (36.6 points per game) while allowing 176 points (11 points per game). They have a +227 scoring differential at home over the course of that streak.

If the Packers win the next 2 games, 2011 will be the first "Perfect Calendar Year" in NFL History.

That is, winning all games played in a given calendar year (which includes the playoffs and Super Bowl from previous season).

I was thinking the pass on the interception was too low too. Finley had to jump so he could reach behind the defenders head. On a real jump ball he should have to jump and reach his hands up. If he did that it would be out of reach for the defensive back. Also with the way it happened so quickly, I don't think Finley could have done much to rip it away from the defender.

The location of the ball is inconsequential. AR has been throwing back should passes all year long. Everyone has been laughing or marveling that he has been getting away with it. If the defender had only turned around he could have intercepted the ball comments are made every week. sometimes 3-4 times in a game.
It is a gutsy pass that they pull off to perfection time and time again. This time the ball needed to be a few inches more to Finley's left. He would have been able to lean back toward the goal line and grab the ball. The ball could have also been a little higher to allow JerMike to out jump the defender. every single pass can't be perfect to within 2-3 inches.

Actually as I type this I think the defender took the ball off Finley's chest didn't he? That means he had the first, best chance to catch the ball he just didn't wrap it up when it got to him.

He also told me since I was smaller than everyone, I needed to try harder to make others notice. That meant being fearless and learning how to take a hit.

So, yes, jumping over someone who is committing interference while you are falling backwards and trying to reach above their head to make a catch ... it is difficult. Again, I was short so I had to be in that position several times.

The interception is not on Finley, but no question I do believe he should have caught it and/or did more to knock the ball out. When he rolled up he had this "duh what just happened" look on his face.

I'm with you on not being bummed if he's not resigned. I said during the off season I needed to see a full season of Finley before I feel he deserves a big contract. I won't name any names, but several blasted the hell out of me for it. I don't know why he's so out of focus this season, but if they can get his focus back, and signed to a top 10-15 TE money, I'd be okay with that. But he's not worth top 5 TE money, not to me.
