Gunny, speaking of Pennslyvanians, why do Steelers fans insist the NFL began in 1973 and not recognize the suckage that was their organization prior to 1973?

I'm enjoying the Formo beatdown by the way boys. I really don't need to add anything.

Sorry, you lost me at "Lamblow", I'm not familiar with that stadium.

As for pounding chest, I'm not. I just stated the facts. Packers fans fill up a damn Family Night game, Pre-Season games and stay to the end, regardless of the score. Vikings fan bail as soon as they feel the game is over, regardless of how much clock is left. Sorry, that's a piss poor fan base. But I suppose you're gonna say that's because there's more to do in Minnesota than Wisconsin, cuz all Wisconsin has is Applebee's.

To be clear, I'm not saying I'm better than you because I root for the Packers and you root for the Vikings. I'm sure there are a lot of great Vikings fans out there who stay to the end. It's just the Packers have visibly a lot more.

But to say they are a great fan base because they fill up God's toilet bowl and stay til the end isn't enough for me.

Again, I have seen recent shots of empty seats (McCarthy's down year-recent). If you guys had the great fan base you claim, those seats wouldn't have been empty.

I'm with Zero here. All I know is from what I've watched on TV and I've been following the Packers since 1976. He's right.

It's like the Niners vs Raiders here. When the Niners had Joe & Steve, they'd pack the house and everyone and their Grandma proudly boasted their Niners jerseys. Nowadays, you'd think that there's only one Bay Area team - the Raiders. And the Niners are good this year, but so many fair weather fans have left that they're probably unaware that the Niners will make the Playoffs.

Now the Raiders on the other hand, they can be 3-13 or 13-3. Either way, you'll see Raider jerseys everywhere you look. The place will be packed and the fans will be loud.

Those are real fans. Niner fans? No. Of course, not denying the existence of real Niner fans. I'm just sayin' they're a minority.

I don't get how Formo can debunk our fandom because he saw empty seats in Lamblow when he was a kid in the 70's and 80's, yet Zombie's analogy of an empty humptydump stadium is bull shit cause he saw it on TV and wasn't there.

Well I've been to the dump several times, and there are good fans, but there are a lot of mooks who boo the refs for false start procedural penalties and boo their own players when they're sucking it up. I have also been to Lamblow with 3 Steelers buddies and they were treated really well by the Lamblowians.

I don't know Formo, most of us just laugh at the thought of the Vikings, but when the Packers lose to them, it's the game that stings me the most. I don't think for the most part the Vikings have the quality of fans as the Packers, but I don't view Minnesotans as inferior to Sconies. The Packers have the most storied history in football and that can't be debated - and without the fans, that team would have been sunk many years ago. The Vikings are coming up on a crossroads, will the fans rise up and save their team - or are they going to move away? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal

Zero2Cool (25-Jan) : Any reason I'm catching a shot here about my intelligence?
Martha Careful (25-Jan) : thank you Mucky for sticking up for me
Martha Careful (25-Jan) : some of those people are smarter than you zero. However Pete Carroll is not
Mucky Tundra (24-Jan) : Rude!

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no

beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
