I don't know Wade, you're making it awfully difficult to pull oneself up by his bootstraps in this purely capitalist marketplace dream of yours. There are no checks and balances in place. $50K a year to go to an average college - wealthy kid says thanks Dad for the tuition - BA in hand in 4 years; whereas the poor kid with no help works full time job to go to college part time for the same BA in 8 years. Wealthy kid has job waiting, doesn't even fill out a job application. Poor kid beats the streets for a couple years to find equal job. Six year head start for the cake eater.

Forget about socialism - this country is an Aristocracy. And all these occupiers are the kids left behind, and they're pissed off. It isn't going to get any better either. I guess the smart play would be to invest in the pepper spray companies.

I have worked 60 hours plus for 20 years... while being a volunteer FF/EMT for free. There is no 6 year head start junior ... not everyone starts at the top degree or not.

Put the politics aside the # 1 issue is everyone thinks they deserve to be a big shot right out the gate AND they look down on those who are not.

Take those 4 year degrees and cut them in half(number of grads) each year. The rest need to go into trades. Plumbers, electricians and general tradesmen.

We used to be proud of being blue collar and hard working. Now it's the rich kid got a better job ? 👻

Work for it.... struggle. It's how this country was built from the ground up.

Now as for what the thread was intended. People forget that guys like Zero pay the hosting and other bills.... he has EVERY right to toss your ass for whatever. Don't like what the site owner does you have two choices:

A: Play by his rules

B. Go elsewhere or start you own.

Hey, at least I'm consistent. Maybe if certain people actually put in the work to warrant the opinions they think they are entitled to or a part of, I'd listen to them more closely. Until then, a person needs to go a ways to impress or convince me otherwise.

I assumed you were addressing me.

However, that is Kevin's choice, not yours or mine. And he does a pretty fair job of splitting them off into the Back alley when time allows it.
Many forums do not even allow certain topics of discussion for just that reason...dumbasses like me go nuts.

Since you have taken this position on discussions/rants, might I dare to presume that in addition to politics, you would also include other heated topics, such as:
religion
abortion
gay rights
gun control

In this particular thread, the original topic was derailed, of which I was a major contributor.
Nothing to be proud of, that is for sure. I will have to work on that....seriously.

While I can understand how you feel in the first parts of your above comment...as to your final comment..
I have witnessed quite a few posts by you over the years that were totally irrelevant to the topic at hand.
That part of your soapbox has no foundation.

I too have gone off topic many times. Some times it is funny when topics wonder off and watch to see where they will go. Some times not. I think you are right that it is the emotionally charged issues that I most object to.

Mainly because there is no compromise between parties. In one part I am objecting so loudly as to tell people please be careful where you decide to take up your discussions. It can ruin the entire board if it goes everywhere.

I would split this, but I have no idea where to start. So, I've ignored it. Sorry.

Unlike me, when a person such as you (meant respectfully), gets really pissed off, one should take notice and perhaps listen and think about it.

At times, when the discussion gets a little heated, I sometimes reread what I have posted and wonder.

Oh, and in your last post, I think you meant "wander" instead of "wonder".....I dislike grammar police.#-o...... [grin1]

The only request that I have from everyone is.....please do ask me to limit in any way/shape/form, my responses to DakotaT.

Well, I was pretty much with you veg up until this last comment.

How you managed that ridiculous segue into this neo-conservative, even more absurd bombastic rant, is most perplexing.

Oh, and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
