WARNING: Realist/Pescimist View

Even if by some miracle we made the playoffs, I don't see us beating the Giants, Tampa, Arizona, or the Cowboys. Maybe the latter three, but the Packers would get killed by the Giants in the NFC championship. And even if they pulled off that upset, they'd have to face teams like Pittsburg, Tennessee, or the Jets. Just don't see it happening.

Yeah NFC south and the NFC east are just tearing it up. Packers just aren't that good this year.

Well i had the Ravens game on and they showed a surprising stat and it was 3 of the most injured teams and guess who they were Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Dallas so i guess the injury excuse is pretty lame on that note.

Show me the injury reports of the Ravens, Steelers, and Cowboys where they have 19 of their players on injury reports.

That's more than 1/3 of the roster.

just to clarify the injury stupidity...steelers have 5; ravens have 13; cowboys have 11.

*P.S. I don't mean to be a Negative Nancy -- in fact, I think RP has the right outlook on this -- but it just dawned on me: we're 3-7 the last 10 games. Ouch. This season hurts.

It's even worse when you hear McCarthy go on as if this team is more talented than last years team..

The whole "excellent intensity" and "great tempo" practices seem like total BS based on Sunday performances.

Then there is McCarthy's call "we like to be physical" and the results which show that vs. the more physical teams in the NFL (Titans, Panthers) the Packers are anything but physical.

To use Mike McCarthy's press conference lingo:

I wasn't happy with pad level today. There are obviously some fundamentals we need to fix, and we intend to get that corrected this week. We've got a lot to clean up and we need to demand more, particularly fundamentals. We've played 12 games and we haven't played a complete game in any of those. We've been trying to work on tempo in practice and finishing plays and to start off the game the way we did with two three-and-outs is just inexcusable. It's all about the fundamentals and I intend to get that corrected. There's no excuse for it. We were confident coming out at halftime that we were playing the game offensively we wanted to play.

I thank God that you did not pass your genes and outlook down to Herb Brooks and the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team.

You are giving us your Realist/Pessimist view? That is an oxymoron.

I bet you had a Vegetarian/Hamburger for dinner tonight, and were Thinking/Out-loud when you posted this, then gave your girlfriend a little Cruel/Love.
