Well i didnt get to see the game because my wireless was messing up so i have been reading the threads and one thing is funny. Most people are trying to use the injuries as an excuse to why were are losing. Well i had the Ravens game on and they showed a surprising stat and it was 3 of the most injured teams and guess who they were Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Dallas so i guess the injury excuse is pretty lame on that note.

I did see a few posts i feel hit it right on the head and that this team has no heart or confidence. That player that makes the team believe they can win like Reggie and Brett did.

Like i said i didn't see much of the game but i saw the Smith catch and that was just a great catch by a playmaker no excuses there.

We are not that great of team imo

The Packers are well on their way to being a Dynasty.

Youth, direction, planning, not changing the focus, and the ability to stick to the plan..... It will all start to come together next year. And YOU ALL WATCH.

I see two Superbowls in the next five years. Four in the Next eight years.

It is good to be a Packer Fan.

Hazer....

I am not comparing some Packer Fans to Cubs fans. I wish some here on this form acted like Cub fans with the faith they have.

I will take the average Cub Fan, with faith and hope over some Packer Fans with doom and gloom thoughts at every given moment of every given day.

Even though I am not a Cub Fan, I admire Cub Fans. I respect them.

I cringe at the fans of any team that has experienced greatness so many times and bitch about it if it does not happen every year.

Many Yankee fans are that way. Many Dallas Cowboy Fans are that way. Many Montreal Canadian fans are that way. Many Packer Fans are that way.

It is expectation of greatness that brings out the spoiled little brats, in sports franchises, and in the spoiled little brat children of well to do family's in the world when they do do not get their way.

I do not give a Rats Ass if you were born in 1980 or 1940. When you become a true fan of a team you become a fan of that team, and it's history.

Every Packer Fan, Yankee Fan, Canadian Fan, and even Cowboy fan has been spoiled with championships. That makes many of them spoiled little brats when they do not win it all every year.

Trom is a perfect example... He is the biggest Cub Fan, and a faithful Packer Fan... but when is the last time you ever read Trom post a doom and gloom post here about the Packers. He is a Packer Fan who acts like a Cub Fan and I find that refreshing.

This is just the way I choose to look at it. I may be wrong, often am.

But this is how I look at it.

Ok?

Show me the injury reports of the Ravens, Steelers, and Cowboys where they have 19 of their players on injury reports.

That's more than 1/3 of the roster.

We have money. Thompson knows where the weaknesses are. He showed he cared by offering a third rounder for Tony Gonzalez. Maybe there's hope?

Peppers and Haynesworth are going to get top money deals for players at their position.

I highly doubt Ted goes after them.

Suggs will get some huge money too, but I doubt Ted is up for getting into a bidding war.

But man, think of the instant boost we'd get by adding Haynesworth at DT and one of Peppers / Suggs opposite Kampman.

If we added a player like Suggs or Haynesworth people would be swingin' from out nuts come mini-camp.

But that's next year talk ...

There's still this year. Well ... there's winning EVERY one of our last games and MAYBE getting in the playoffs. But there's still a chance.

*P.S. I don't mean to be a Negative Nancy -- in fact, I think RP has the right outlook on this -- but it just dawned on me: we're 3-7 the last 10 games. Ouch. This season hurts.

evad, the problem is do we deserve to be in the playoffs?

We've played way too inconsistently. More importantly, playoffs is about physical football. Outside of the Colts and Bears games, this team has been anything but physical.

It's even worse when you hear McCarthy go on as if this team is more talented than last years team.

The whole "excellent intensity" and "great tempo" practices seem like total BS based on Sunday performances.

Then there is McCarthy's call "we like to be physical" and the results which show that vs. the more physical teams in the NFL (Titans, Panthers) the Packers are anything but physical.

I've never really understood the "deserve the playoffs" argument. I mean, if you make the playoffs then, well, yes you deserve to be in the playoffs. The only thing that we've been shown to really matter is how you play AS you enter the playoffs (hello, 2007 NY Giants).

I'll agree with the other stuff you say. We haven't been physical enough. I think we're about the best 5-7 team out there. But that doesn't change the fact we're 5-7.
