I feel like what Zombo can do is more than what Walden can do, and we've seen just that. Hoping for So'oto is more blind faith for the unknown, imo. He may be able to provide some spark, but ultimately I think Zombo is our best option when healthy.

At a minimum, getting Zombo back to rotate with Walden will help them both stay fresh. Walden has been no better than average so far this season but it's not like he's been awful either. I agree with Neal though in as far as don't rush him back. If a few more weeks off will make him better the final 5 games or so of the season and playoffs, all the better.

How would Neal help us to go to the SB if we haven't even seen this guy play for consecutive weeks (full time). First of all he should stay healthy then will judge his play. It's still going to take him about 2-3 weeks until he gets his tempo back up to the level that his teammates are at.

True, Neal may not be that effective, but I think he would be every bit as effective as Wynn if not more so if relatively healthy. There's a reason they have been holding a roster spot for this guy. The front office knows he has the talent to be a dynamic player. At this point, it's just about him staying healthy. Wynn and Wilson, while dependable, are hardly impact players.

I just feel like we've already seen what Zombie can do. So'Oto got it done against starters in the preseason. He doesn't play because of special teams.

So'oto got it done against two starting teams that we're doing down right HORRIBLE in preseason.

So'oto has played some games... but the coaches haven't given the OLB snaps to Walden, Zombo and Jones over So'oto... and if So'oto could be the difference making like Neal showed I'm not sure coach Greene would hold him back just because he's not great on Special teams...

Heck FB Quinn Johnson was horrible on STs and a specialist roll of run blocker between the tackles but they still found ways to get on the field. If So'oto was showing to be a big pass rush threat in practice I'm sure they'd find ways to get him on the field too.

I agree So'oto showed potential in preseason... but if the potential to be better than what we currently got was showing in practice the coaches should of tried to test him with some live game action and they haven't... so I'm basing my thoughts on the coaches actions that he's not ready yet... but who knows maybe he can snap it together for the playoffs like Starks did on offense last year.

At this point, take your damn time with him. Don't rush him. If he can't come back for another month, so be it. Do what it takes to get him healthy and (hopefully) able to contribute. Outside of a catastrophic injury, we will be in the playoffs. This is where we will need Neal the most. Do whatever it takes to make sure he's healthy by then. Anything beyond that is a complete bonus, in my opinion. Same for Clifton, really. Save him as valuable depth/potential starter for the playoffs. We can get by without them for now. It's not ideal, but would likely be worth it in the end, especially if their practicing a few weeks before the playoffs.

I would hope they would ease Neal in over the course of 3 weeks getting more and more snaps. He will be rusty as well as relatively inexperienced.

Clifton might only need a week of that when his time comes.

Even if Burnett gets the cast/club off in a few weeks it will be with slowly disappearing padding.

The really good thing is that there have been (Praise the Lord) no additions to the injury list. If they continues to avoid injuries while other teams seem to suffer them the Packers will only be better off in the future.

The Packers have a lot less to worry about than other teams.

Looks like he's gonna start practicing  this week. I'm sure they'll ease him in on a pitch count. He's a key to our defense.

beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.

Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
