Today on ESPN radio, one of their football experts was asked to name the best division in football. He mentioned several divisions, but he did not name the NFC North, which is currently eight games above .500. The only division he named that was better than the NFC North was the AFC North, which is nine games above .500. His other candidates were the AFC East, the NFC East, and the AFC South. He did not mention that all of them are an even .500 right now. I guess people still need to get used to the idea of the NFC North being one of the best divisions in football. (Last year it was the third best division in football, at two games above .500, although the AFC East and NFC South were well in front of everybody--both at eight games above .500.)
By the way, the Bears are in third place in the division at 4-3, and two of their losses are to other NFC North teams (the Packers and Lions).
