I myself love watching a full 4 quarters of aggressive football. When the game plan stays this way through the full game, I want to shake Mike's hand. I have noticed that the passive playcalling has become less of a staple, and the "step on their neck" attitude is great.

It seems that with time not only has MM's coaching shown more depth and better attitude, but the players seem to always be on the same page with him. This is what separates the good teams from the great teams. I am mostly impressed by the coaching staff in Green Bay. It isn't often that message boards start threads applauding coaches, it is usually something negative - glad to see a positive on this one.

Keep the team blood thirsty Mike =d>

I'd say he's improved quite a bit. Although, I still would have liked to see the Packers pass it into the endzone at the end. No real complaints from me on the tactic that earned the fifth W 🙂

On 2nd down you run it to get to the 2-minute warning. On 3rd down you know that a run gets you a FG attempt with barely a minute left. If you throw it and go incomplete on 3rd down, you kick a FG with maybe 1:55 left. If you convert, great, game over -- but the clock is your best friend. Take the 11 point lead with barely a minute left every time.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

It is apparent that Mike has been more aggressive than his first few years as HC. Good to see him grow into the job.

It would have been cool to see a TD there and I think the Packers could have done it with a 2 TE set with a rollout... but Packers won that's all that matters and hopefully Clifton heals quickly. I can almost promise he won't play against the Rams.

Everyone is spot on about his aggressiveness, going for the throat, etc.

However, I've also been impressed by his ability to adjust. Last night was a good example with the Clifton injury so he utilized the TEs for more protection and quick screens/slants. Then as he saw Sherrod was holding his own he switched back to 4 and 5 wr sets which was when we saw the big gain to James Jones and the offense really open up.

With the injuries to the Tackles, maybe it's a good thing the Packers kept all those tight ends.

I still think he's holding us back. LOL.

I agree with the comments above. MM's offense has done a terrific job of keeping the defenses off-balance this year. He appears to be more aggressive toward the end of the games. The dealing with injuries (Bulaga, Clifton, etc) and having the replacements ready to go, even in positions that aren't their primary (Sherrod at RT?). Says a lot about the coaching staff AND the players themselves.

The in-game adjustments that Mike McCarthy has been able to make throughout the season, into last season, have been the story that make me sing his praises. He is consistently finding what we are doing wrong (or could be doing better, anyway) and using it as an opportunity to further enhance our play and destroy our opponents. I have full trust in him, Capers, and Ted Thompson to run this team right back to SB XLVI.
