When Edgar Bennett took over for Jimmy Robsinson as wide receiver coach, some, like myself, said what the hell? Edgar was a RB professionally. It then occurred to me that this might be a good thing for the receivers. Edgar was a very talented receiving running back. Good hands and grew into a player whom you knew would not fumbled.

One of the Packers biggest concerns, and fans, was the drop passes. Already this season the Packers have had two games, out of four, with zero dropped passes.

The tight ends have let one pass hit the ground out of 25 targets.

The wide receivers have been targeted 88 times with only four drops.

The running backs have been targeted 25 times with zero drops.

Each position has improved over last season.

If you're wondering who's most improved from last year to this, Jordy Nelson with zero drops in 20 targets.

Jordy is becoming the Packers premier receiver. Glad we got him signed. It seems Edgar is becoming a very good coach.

Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

20 targets and 0 drops seems nuts to me. Jordy is so reliable. I don't even think of him as the big play guy, just ol reliable Jordy. Although Aaron thinks of him as a big play guy apparently. Jordy and Jermichael fighting over Aaron's love.

Very good points. If this was a young unit it would have been more of a headscratcher, but Ted had every intention of retaining Jordy, which means we have Jennings-Nelson-Jones for the long term with Randall Cobb as the only young pup. Our guys are all terrific route runners and have all the knowledge possible to continue improving in that area. With how much Driver has helped every one of them, you know they're going to help the young one.

So what does that leave this unit to improve upon? Consistency and ball security after the catch. When you frame the question like that, it makes all the sense in the world that we moved Edgar to help out our receivers. Well that and the fact he's a talented coach to begin with. He can learn what he needs to learn about the position from a number of sources. If you can teach, you can teach.

Seems like Edgar is a guy who stresses fundamentals.

Its great to see someone like Jordy have that 'coming out party' during the Super Bowl. Sometimes guys can get hot in the playoffs and everyone notices them- and they end up getting big contracts because of what they did in the spot light in one post season or super bowl and they end up not ammounting to anything. Great to see Jordy "stacking success" as Mike McCarthy would say..

beast (8h) : Guys that have a good shot at making the NFL Hall of Fame usually get into their teams pretty fast
beast (8h) : Yeah, but is Kampman and the others in the NFL Hall of Fame?

Zero2Cool (10h) : Yeah, he's in the ring of honor, just saw video and his name is up there
Zero2Cool (10h) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (10h) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (10h) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (22h) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (8-Jan) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game

Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : BALL DON'T LIE
