I like our chances I know our d-line,hasn;t been up to par but jsonline BJ Raji said they will be ready for the run game,Trmaon said he will do more so I think they will have a win tough as it may be.

I'll be honest. I don't know what to think for this game.

On the one hand, the Packers O has been unstoppable, and I have no reason for believing that Atlanta has what it takes to stop them.

On the other, I feel rather apprehensive about the defense. I think Ryan is neither as good as he was anointed to be last year nor as bad as he has shown so far this year. And in White, Jones, and Gonzalez, they are unlike the last three opponents in terms of the number of their quality receiving threats, and arguably as good as the first opponent. I'm not worried about the run defense with Pickett/Raji/Green unless Capers has to change sets to slow down the Atlanta passing game. But I am worried about a shootout.

Probably because unlike most here, I'm old enough to remember the last time the Packers had an unstoppable offense but a suspect defense. Years like 83 and 84.

Right now, it's the best O and a mediocre D. HUGE difference. But I still strongly think that our D will improve as the season progresses. Dom is just that way. He makes mistakes early then adjusts. Or maybe it's the way we play - we need several games to get our timing down.

I'm willing to bet (gentlemen's bet) that by the end of the year, we have a top 10 D. Losing Collins really hurts but Dom will find ways to compensate.

Peteralan - I read what you wrote and I agree. Thus is why I'm saying "by the end of the year."

I'm merely worried about this week. It's not top 10 yet.

I'm going to this game, if we lose I'm sending MM a letter to reimburse me for tickets. Also, who does Finley owe gloves to? I'll make sure I get a message to him. 🤐

I do think it helps us though. It's usually always the offense that struggles earlier in the season. Usually from week 3-4 until about week 10. Usually the Oline never shows up until week 10. So from that standpoint I think it helps us overall. Not to jinx us of course. Maybe it'll help us execute more consistently this year.

I seem to be more worried about this game than most of the posters in this thread. I think this has the feeling of that blow out game against the Saints a couple years ago on Monday night.

Like someone said earlier, I think we are better in nearly every aspect, but the emotion of prime time, ATL being at home, \what the Packers did to them in the playoffs last year, and everyone taking the Packers adds up to a very tough game.

With that said, I can see the Packers being ready for all of the above and putting up 40+ too.

We're not facing the same team we knocked off in the Playoffs last year. The current Falcons team seems to not know how to tie its shoes yet. Maybe they'll fix the ship later on in this season, but as of October 9th, 2011, they're not ready for the Green Bay Packers.

I predicted blowout vs Broncos. I'm predicting a second straight blowout.

Defensively, Green Bay needs to disrupt Atlanta's rhythm. Two avid Falcon fan friends of mine pointed out that Atlanta's offense is night-and-day different when they run hurry up. From a production standpoint, they are a potent offense in hurry up; the rest of the time, they are below average. We'll see what they do.

Either way, for almost six of the eight quarters we've played against them in the last year the score was close. They controlled the LOS in the first contact; we made the big plays in the playoff game. I know they are only 2-2 and have been shaky, but I see the Falcons rising to the occasion and making this a game.

Green Bay wins, but it'll be tough.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?

Martha Careful (10-Jun) : I wasn't supposed to say anything, but yes the word is out and we are happy 😂😂😂
Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : I might be late on this but Aaron Rodgers is now married
Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : Well he can always ask his brother for pointers
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : Bo Melton taking some reps at CB as well as WR
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : key transactions coming today at 3pm that will consume more cap in 2025
