Alright, listened to it twice. There's no question to me, after years of watching his press conferences, his comments were a slight dig at Aaron Rodgers.

When asked about watching Aaron and the Packers win the Super Bowl, Brett says he's surprised it didn't happen sooner. This is blatantly implying he'd have led them to a Super Bowl sooner. And to validate that, he says to remember that he said prior to the '07 season it was the most talented team he had been on. He again later says Aaron fell into a good situation and its no surprise the Packers are as good as they are because of how talented the team his.

If my opinion is asked, there is no question Brett Favre is bitter he didn't get a chance to play with the Packers in '08 and '09 and possibly '10. Towards the end of the interview he throws another jab ... tells Mike he doesn't want to hold his career back by commentating another game with him. This is nitpicking, but the tone came off as if he was flinging that bitterness towards the Packers, whom I'm wondering if during that 4 or 6 hour discussion said ... Mike McCarthy that is ... said they had to let Aaron play to see what they had and Brett took it as his presence was holding Aaron back. Again, this last part is nitpicking and assuming, but the rest of what I said, I have no question about its validity. Brett is bitter.

Edit, and I'm not faulting Brett for being bitter, not at all. I think any human being would be and rightfully so.

This is the sports world equivalent of a story about Sarah Palin. Brett Favre is not relevant as a football player anymore. Stop giving him interviews and a platform to speak to and you'll stop hearing stupid things. But that's exactly what the media wants because it gets hits.

Not a perfect analogy because Brett did kind of bring us a Lombardi and was our quarterback for most of my life, but in terms of his current value to the current state of the NFL... Nil.

I don't think Brett was trying to bash Aaron at all...I think some are taking this in the wrong way.

Yay....Another topic that turns into a"Let's Bash Brett Favre thread" and feel really good about it.

I know I am gonna get hammered for this, but why bother with anything that is written about or that Brett says....it doesn't matter.

Here's another article about it.

A horse's ass spews shit. This is the nature of the universe.

(I'm actually not that upset about this, and I'm not mad at Favre or whatever. Actually, it's probably a good thing for us as Packer fans. This kind of shit is what Rodgers uses to power his drive shaft. I couldn't help it though, that line right there is too good.)

Favre died August 19, 2009.

And thus began the rise of Bert Farve [mfing].
