Yes I loved that onside kick. πŸ‡²πŸ‡² kicked the Broncos when they were already down. 😍 it!

The game calling was fabulous. The challenge of πŸ‡¦πŸ‡·'s INT was great. I do believe πŸ‡²πŸ‡² as I believe he wanted to get the ball back so we could score again. I even loved going on 4th and 1, even though the play failed. Great call. I was hoping for play action though and not a run.

The defense needs to get better if this team is going to win another championship. I'm not sure what the problem is. The offense is great because of Rodgers and the receivers, who caught pretty much everything that came their way. When those guys play that well, the O-line can be just okay and it's more than good enough.

The Pack only gave up 6 second-half points. And that includes clean up time against an offense that was trying to score TDs. I understand the criticisms, and I'm not indifferent to them. But I am a little surprised there's this much discussion about the defense considering how they cleaned things up in the 2nd half (and how they scored 6 points in the first half -- go Woodson!)
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Green Bay leads the league in opposing rushing attempts (just 77 through four games -- less than 20 attempts per game, which is crazy). I heard on the radio today that Green Bay is number one in the league against first down rushes. Teams are getting into 2nd and longs more often, and since the offense is putting up points they are abandoning the run.

We're on pace to be run on less than 300 times this season, which is 33 less than last year's leader in that category: Pittsburgh.

Now, I think things will smooth out as the season goes on. They always do. I mean, at this rate Rodgers is on pace for 56 total TDs and 8 INT. He's also on pace to break the single season passing record by a few-hundred yards (Brady currently on pace for 6,200 passing yards). These things will smooth out -- and the same, I think, will go for the defense.

Very few teams have scored their way to championships. In recent years, the Rams did it in '99 and arguably the Saints in '09. The Patriots won three Super Bowls with a tough defense, and they've won none since they put the emphasis on lighting in up on offense.

There's plenty of time for the defense to improve, but until it does, there will be legitimate concern.

I was just curious where The Packers pass defense rated this week against the other winning teams.
Yds allowed they gave up the 7th most(273).

pts allowed they gave up the 5th most(tie with 49r's).

turnovers created Packers were #1(tie with Ravens).

Throw in the fact that The Packers scored 49pts,#1 this week, IMHO The Packers Defense is doing just fine.

This has become a pass happy league with all the new rules protecting the QB's and Wr's,thankfully The Packers have if not the best, the 2nd best QB in the league.

Defenses are going to give up more yardage than in the past.

The one constant I see staying the same is the turnover ratio.

Win the turnover battle and in most cases you win the game.

TEAM........PS YDS ALLWD...TRNVRS CRTD.....PTS ALLOWED
49R's.............416....................3.....................23
Bears.............374....................1.....................29
Titans............350....................1.....................13
Patriots..........344....................2.....................19
Lions.............331....................3.....................30
Falcons...........319....................2.....................28
Packers...........273....................4.....................23

Yes, offensive production is up across the league, so let's forget about the scoring and yardage numbers. Let's just look at rankings. Last year the Packers had the #2 scoring defense in the league. This year they are tied for 19th.

You are comparing 4 games(this year) to 16 games(last year). So let me do the work for you.

In 2010 Packers faced The Eagles, Bills, Bears, and Lions the 1st 4 weeks.

The Packers scored 116pts and gave up 73pts and went 3-1.

In 2011 Packers have faced The Saints, Panthers, Bears and Broncos

The Packers have scored 148 pts and have given up 107pts.

107-73= 27/4 = just to use a round number, The Packers have given up 7pts more a game through 4 games.

148-116=32/4=, The Packers are scoring 8pts more a game through 4 games.

It's hard to factor in The different teams, but I just don't see what all the panic is about, Packers are giving up more poins but they are also scoring more.

With every game, there are mistakes made, but there is also film of theses mistakes. I have full confidence in Dom and crew that the defense is going to tighten down as the year proceeds.

Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
