I do believe The Packers will make a late run and make the play-offs, if they don't and finish at or below :500, look for the following players to be gone by next year.
Clifton
Tauscher
Harris
Woodson
Driver
I have no inside info:, this is just my opinion, after watching Ted Thompson operate the last 4 years.
The window is closing for these players to make another run at the superbowl, if it doesn't happen this year, Ted Thompson will go younger and start building for another run in a few years.
The biggest surprise of all next year.......Greg Jennings will not be with The Green Bay Packers, he will test Free agency and get an offer Ted Thompson will not match. I hope I am completely wrong on this one but don't think so.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you despise Ted Thompson so much that you are looking at what is the worse possible scenario that could happen or that he would allow to happen.
I don't think the team will be gutted next year as Ted Thompson will be gone if the team does not win in 2009. He's not stupid enough to let go veteran players when he needs to win.
People forget that Aaron Rodgers and Justin Harrell were first round picks. That's why Favre and Williams were gone. To get first round picks on the field. Obviously that was a stupid move, but it's a philosophy that a lot of teams do use.
I think Tauscher and Clifton are on thin ice with the Packers. I think one of them will be gone in the off season, but they'll hold onto one.
Driver is safe and I think Harris is if he wants to be, although I'm wondering if he just wants out.
I agree with you about Greg Jennings. I think he wants to test free agency, but GB won't allow him to test it. They'll franchise him for 2010. He'll then sign for a ridiculous contract due to the NFL not having a salary cap in 2011.
This of course is assuming he GB doesn't wow him this off season.
