Our friends at google skipped doodling the Lady Godiva part, I see...

Anyway, well deserved. The man is a legend... Maybe the best singer ever. Zombieslayer certainly agrees.

Mercury was brilliant and wrote some of my favorite songs of all-time. It's a shame they stopped touring in 1986. I was too young to see Queen in their heyday. :(

While we're talking about Mercury - a little trivia.

Did you know that he refused to fix the gap in his teeth? He was afraid it would effect his voice if he got it fixed.

I didn't know that, but I believe I heard it somewhere. A few months back I watched a crap load of YouTube documentaries and interviews on him. I think there's a movie coming out based on his life. I'll be watching it for sure.
