Just saw this in the Tweet section over at G.B. Press Gazette.
G Caleb Schlauderaff traded to the Jets,Quinn Johnson traded to the Titans.

If he's not one of the best then why keep him? And I think he could be kept on the practice squad if no one claims him.

They also put time into other players on the team...

And I've been wanting to get a QB with more upside in the draft for a while now. I wanted QB Tyrod Taylor this year when he dropped in the draft. Sound like he was doing good for a rookie until he got injured. Packers picked Caleb Schlauderaff right before Taylor was picked.

The Packers were going to cut Schlauderaff, but the Jets probably figured they weren't going to pick high enough in the waiver order and made a deal to get him. A conditional pick usually requires the players to be on the 53-man roster or game-day roster a specified number of times in order for the Packers to get the pick.

It's usually a seventh-round pick.
