I think MM's seriously improved as a coach, you'd never hear this from him 2 years ago:

"I understand the mindset of kicking the extra point and going home a little healthier, but that's a terrible message to send to your team," coach Mike McCarthy said. "I think just the way our team reacted on the sideline tells you about what we came here to do - we came here to win games."

He's got the killer instinct. I went from losing interest in the game and just having fun in the chat to full-on regular season excitement and focus in a matter of minutes... Doesn't matter if it's the preseason, play to win. Important high-pressure situation to put those on the bubble through, as well.

I wonder what happened to James Jones? They listed him as a starter, but I never saw him. I hope he didn't get hurt.

I am watching the replay on the NFL channel. Last night I said I don't mind the Packers going no huddle for most games. They will have a problem when they get into the domed stadiums if they can only move in no huddle.
The will face Atlanta
MN
Detroit and
back in Indy for the SB
so they need to move the ball in a regular set as well.

Injury list: The most important development is the Packers escaped almost unscathed on the injury front. McCarthy listed Jermichael Finley (ankle sprain) and Jordy Nelson (knee bruise) as the only players hurt. He also indicated both wanted to return in the second half.

Sitting out were wide receivers Shaky Smithson (shoulder), Randall Cobb (knees) and Greg Jennings (knee), tackle Chris Campbell (knee), guard Adrian Battles (Achilles), defensive ends Mike Neal (knee), Lawrence Guy (concussion) and C.J. Wilson (concussion), linebackers Frank Zombo (shoulder) and K.C. Asiodu (chest) and safety Anthony Levine (concussion).

I am sure there are others. Those are the ones I thought of first.

They are replaying the game now. I watched AR make a call then walk down the line to his right and repeat the call before going back to shotgun. If the crowd is going crazy he won't be able to do that effectively.

Thumbs up

Jermichael Finley is getting close to regular-season form with only a week left in the preseason.

The Packers have been working Finley back into their offense slowly in his return from knee surgery last year and limiting his snaps, but Friday night against the Colts he played into the second quarter and finished with four catches for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Thumbs down

Nick Collins is one of the Packers’ best defensive players and second-year pro Morgan Burnett has had a promising training camp as the starter opposite him, but the Packers’ safeties made a couple of major errors Friday night that can cost a game.

Morgan’s mistake was especially glaring and gave Indianapolis as easy a long touchdown pass as you’re going to see. On a third-and-9 from Colts territory, receiver Pierre Garcon lined up wide left and receiver Chris Brooks lined up inside him in the slot. Brooks ran a stop route and Garcon a go route.

Did you notice?

• With Randall Cobb inactive because of bruises on both knees, receiver Chastin West was the Packers’ punt returner in the first half. West had two returns for 11 yards. Rookie Alex Green was the first kickoff returner with Cobb out and had only one return, a 29-yarder. Green fielded that kickoff 9 yards deep in the end zone, which in a regular-season game, he would have downed. Undrafted rookie Kerry Taylor took over both roles in the second half.

• Frank Zombo’s broken shoulder blade is forcing the Packers to take a harder look at their backup outside linebackers, and in this game, undrafted rookie Vic So’oto was a beneficiary. Erik Walden started the game, and as expected, third-year pro Brad Jones was the first outside linebacker off the bench. So’oto also played in the second quarter with most of the defensive starters on the field. He also started the second half with the No. 2 defense, and against the Colts’ starting offense on the first possession of the third quarter sacked Painter and forced a fumble that teammate Jarius Wynn recovered.

They saw something on film on that long TD they gave up. Every guy on the field jump on that pump fake. There was some kind of a tell, which the Colts gave as a fake. Something was up with that play.

Just watched replay on NFL channel. The "line" he stepped on to was the CBS graphic line which isn't visible on the field. That was actually painted on behind the real LOS. He did not cross the line.
