I believe I read where a team can get up to 50% of the amount with a fund the League has started with the owners. Plus season tickets will surely go up. When all is said and done the payback is likely to be more like 5-7 years, maybe less. If ticket prices go up only about 5% a year in this amount of time they'll be getting 15-17 million a year. With low interest and the economy now is a good time to do it.

Enclosing it may make it a little warmer in September but it will also make it a little warmer in December.

It was more of a joke for myself.. I wish I had a 13 year ROI on the projects I present.. lol.

If the Packers do get it passed by the NFL to sell shares of the team to help fund this expansion, how much does a share usually go for? I typed it into Google and $200 came up a few times. Does that sound reasonable?

Personally.. beyond being able to gaze at it upon the wall and say that I own one.. it is pretty silly in reality. At least I didn't purchase the sod. [grin1]

A week by week look at the stock sale and revenue generated the last time around.

http://joe.bowman.net/Shareholder.htm

A LOOK AT THE PACKERS STOCK OFFERING OVER THE 17 WEEK OFFERING PERIOD

NOVEMBER 1997 - $9.5 million raised In the first 11 days of the sale, about one-third - or $7.8 million - of the $24-plus million total is sold. Paid orders for stock pour in at a rate of over 3500 per day - 38,895 total over the 11-day period - generating about $700,000 per day or an average of $4.9 million per week!
During the week of November 25, following the Packers key victory over the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field, an additional 8315 shares are sold - generating nearly $1.7 million or about $238,000 per day.
